Dire Beast & Call of the Wild - Pet Customization Options

Hello,

I would like to propose a visual update to Dire Beasts talent, Call of the Wild talent, and other summonable beasts for hunter (Beast Mastery). No gameplay effect only visual.

The change would include that ALL pets that can be summoned by a hunter, via talents, traits etc., could be selectable from either stable, or a premade pool of pets, etc. I am not proposing in depth pet customization, rather just some simple variety in what pets appear when Dire Beast or other similar random pet summon traits (Such as Call of the Wild) are in use by a hunter.

Regarding Call of the Wild: I am aware, that Call of the Wild pets appear randomly selectable from stable - but I do not want to throw away all tamed pets I have, just so the ones I actually want to appear in the spell, appear.

It would add more immersion towards what kind of hunter you are playing in your head: a cat / lynx companion hunter, a hunter who enjoys company of birds, etc. etc. you get the idea. For me as a Void Elf BM Hunter I enjoy having 2 void imbued tigers as my main two pets, but the randomly summoned dire beasts take me out of the fantasy.

Personally, I do not enjoy getting huge centipedes, spiders etc. And Arachnophobia mode does little to negate this as crabs and prawns are even scarier somehow. Would it be possible to get this as a hunter customization option?

Thanks!

100% agree. I’ve been wanting it for some time now.

I like collecting pets, but I don’t want my pink elephant being summoned when I’m currently a void elf with 2 matching purple pets. Completely ruins the vibe.

This could all be fixed with just going back to 1 pet though. I much preferred having 1 very strong pet over this zoo summoning nonsense. Leave the pet spam up to demo locks.
