Right just a random question I know dire trolls can be made via voodoo and alchemical manipulation has anyone got an any idea on information about this or how it would work. From the bleeding hollow orcs it’s done from the blood of their strongest warriors could it be roughly like that?
You take some magical doohickies, some powdered whozits and a little bit of Chemical X and boom, new dire troll.
There isn’t any detailed lore method, so it’s got the space to make stuff up.
Another example we see in-game are “blightblood trolls” where scourge blight is used to create them. Perhaps there’s more lore there?
The one thing about voodoo I like, leaves a lot of open room for imagination. The Gurubashi themselves managed to utilize blood magic to make dire trolls. We also have smaller troll berserkers who are “magically or alchemically” made larger and some continue to become dire trolls. Some dire trolls are even just born. All around, you can definitely make a dire troll with what you proposed yourself.
Its funny tho, no playable option to be dire troll in the Zandalari Allied race
They are respected part of the society, even have a representative in the Council - . Long ago it was decided that the Zandalari dire trolls should always have a seat on the Zanchuli Council, to ensure that those specials needs of the elite warriors were met by the government, and to provide the wisdom of war to those councilors who may seldom see a battlefront
Not some dumb hulking warmachines like hobgoblins…
A missed opporunity there I say
The best kind of lore is this kind of lore.
It’s valid, though what we know is that it’s hugely detrimental to one’s lifespan and mental faculties.
Relative, some dire trolls are known to be quite intelligent. I’d argue Jin’rohk to be quite good in cognitive function with the sheer fact Lei Shen himsel blessed him with power over storm
Aye, thats true
Forgemaster Zak’aal is the Zandalari blacksmith trainer and that profession needs a heluva brain! One - if not the - most complicated profession to the point people considered it a form of magic in the dark ages (or the sacred profession of the gods even before that)
Jo’nok, Bulwark of Torcali when you speak to him, not shows any sign of lesser intelligence, no “Me big, me smash you”, instead quite the philosophical about Torcali, his Loa
Some dire trolls are born naturally, which might be the difference. We see some kid dire trolls in zandalar.

Perhaps natural dire trolls keep their brains while artificial ones don’t?
Also interesting that apparently there’s zero Darkspear dire trolls. Maybe Darkspear kill are a bit racist against them and kill or exile them…
The only logical conclusion is that they are the children of troll cannibals.
I’d argue that in the end, due to lack of lore it depends heavily on who did the ritual, how it was done and so on. The more preparation the better.
In regards to those speaking of their place among Zandalari, they have always had quite a lot of respect and possibly higher ranks too. Dire trolls represent the number one thing Zandalari appreciate in battle. Raw force, just next to that is their ancient magic of Voodoo.
