For a healthier economy and a more lively leveling world, Blizzard should definately look into this and fix mage boosting and aoe dungeon farming again. In Season of Mastery they added restrictions to dungeons which made AOE xp and gold farming a lot harder, if not nearly impossible. Why is this not implemented now? This would slow down inflation by a large margin and people would actually stay out in the world leveling instead of standing at a dungeon entrance once again.

aoe farming mages and low lvl dungeon boosting has always being a thing ever since vanilla was retail
and the economy was not that much damaged by them at all
meanwhile after GDKP starting to become a meta and mainstream thing: when classic hit TBC/wotlk and now has moved to classic era too
well now you legit have to compeat against people who buy gold in raids
and the gold is more in demand and that means more profits for gold sellers that has more bots/hacks turned on
afew aoe farming mages can not make up for all the bots in a server

and aoe farming mages put stuff in auction house so other people can buy and auction house take abit of gold away from the cut
while does botters (in all versions of wow) just vendor everything for true inflation
that GDKP runners is using for theirs gold demand by buying gold
Inflation is because of bots, not legit mages, and even if blizzard implement these changes it will change nothing in terms of inflation until blizz fix flyhack, because flyhacking bots can farm even with all SoM changes

sure botters/hackers existed before GDKP was meta/mainstream but not to this insane levels where it is insane damaging
Dude thinks Mage boosting is ruining the economy and have anything in common with inflation. Lol, sorry that’s just funny. I think you just have something personally against mages, maybe try leveling one, you might enjoy it? 
dude thinks gold boosting is good gold. Dunno about SOD; but in era, a single naxx gdkp earns you 20k + gold, which is like 30 hours of mage boosting.
imagine your whole game/server is run by GDKPs runs: “looking at you Wotlk classic”
GDKP = you bid for raid loot when a loot drops and at end of the raid there is a slipt amount the raiders who is left with the gold pot that came from this
that means you can end up compeat either one who no life farming but atleast legit
and people see the option to buy gold from gold sellers who is botting
and you can see where this is going
and btw this issue not just hurting the economy of the game but legit everything PVE content
you wanna join a raid in a game where all raids is GDKPs:
now you need to either have ALOT of gold so people wanna invite you in the first place: you will be invited no matter what if you have alot of gold even if you join in without any gear on and turn off the monitor doing the raid
OR
even if you are pre raid BIS you but low on gold: too bad you dont have really really good raid gear we will prefer other pumpers/carries who only join for the gold for bigger DPS/heals and better tanks:
took me 2months to be able to find a ICC raid and still have not found one on my pre raid bis mage and just quit WOTLK classic complety
this WILL make the raiding content complety unplayable unless you buy gold or farming where you have to compeat against botters/hackers who will camp every mining/herb node and even teleport to them
so you will be farming like +40hours in total to have gold enough to maybe make the raid pots and then min. bid price on a item no one really wants
and you think Aoe Mage farming is damaging?
also this issue is on classic era and will come for SoD
whats insane is that the naxx 40 cuts are higher than the cuts in icc 25.
and this is why legit mage players is doing the AOe farming and low lvl dungeon boosting
back when wotlk was retail
a low lvl dungeon boosting from a higher level was like max 10g
now its 100g on same dungeon in same version
imo long term better gold is levleing lots of alts for doing gdkps.
the real solution to all of this i dont think is only banning gold sellers/buyers/botters/hackers
sure blizzard can put more effect in this 100%
BUT i know from modding communities the modders(or in this case the botter/hackers) is always afew step forward compare to the company
like on modding a nintendo console to do stuff nintendo dont want to
so instead of always play the cat/mouse game
blizzard should play a different game basically:
Blizzard should rethink how raid looting works in general so GDKPs cant be a viable thing to do anymore
Therefor the gold demand gonna get smaller for the whole game
and if less gold demand that mean less people who wanna buy gold
and less real money profit from gold sellers by botters/hacking so its not worth it
gonna kill botting: properly not
gonna make it a issue that is alot less visible: 100% since back when wotlk was retail
it took months between i saw a bot out in the wild
gonna make the game overall alot more healthy: also 100% since the loot system for raids is just outdated and needs a rework anyway
the main thing i want this rework to be:
is if you are cursed to only roll 1s and nothing at all drops for you
you will still be able to get something usefull when finished a raid: full out personal loot maybe not but maybe a piece of a gear you want from the raid and you need like 3 of them to get that gear you want so x3 raid completed so you 100% chance get that gear at somepoint no matter what just as long you complete the raid
thats 1 of the reasons why GDKP is meta
becuase no need to have mercy on RNG roll gods, no loot drama with other loot community systems people has made like LC/DKP systems,
AND you still get something by complete a raid : a cut from the gold
and meta dont mean “healthy for the game” that just mean what is the most optimal to do no matter the cost
the best solution to botting is to force people to purchase 3 months of game time at least on a new wow account. increasing the upfront cost of botting lowers profit margins.

gold sellers is getting ALOT OF money
this is only damaging for people who wanna dip theirs toe in WoW by only buy 1 month and see its for them or not
I would be very for the nerfing of certain classes’ ability to solo dungeons.
If you haven’t seen it yet, I was watching a streamer yesterday doing 1pull Wailing Caverns for 185+ mobs and 1 level every hour from level 20-25 for the boostees.
There wasn’t a significant interest in looted gold so it wasn’t mentioned.
How does he do it?
He just runs through the entire dungeon, and facetanks every mob with op mage runes.
i can confirm you need to have a good geared still from BFD to pull this off
reminder the epic staff from BFD is a lvl 25 is a better item than staff of jordan that is a lvl 35 item
and staff of jordan is honestly a staff that can stay with you to almost lvl 60
so some of the BFD gear is just good stats
i will say a decent BFD geared mage is like the equal to a lvl 30-35 and that is around that lvl where a mage can solo some of the starter dungeons in vanilla era

gear = more stats like more stamina and int to have enough mana and life to face tank and solo dungeons
Okay, now give full bis to any other class and tell me they are gonna 1 pull WC and that its fair because they have gear.
