Disabled sound = no stuttering

Hello,

With the sound off, I finally see no stuttering

But since it’s without sound the dragonflight datadisk should cost 24,99€

Same, when i disable the ingame sound flying on my dragon feels so much smoother

Dont worry, this is part of a concealed sub system new wow has,you pay the 12 month sub and you can use the sound with no stutters.

The issue feels like problematic file asset loading in general. Disabling the sounds probably eliminates that portion of it. Flying over a town will still run like poop.

Try reducing the amount of audio channels the game uses in audio settings

Disabling sound reduces the amount of stuttering I get greatly but it does not fix it to 100%. Still stutters in Valdrakken for example. But at least without sound the game is playable, but not enjoyable since I want sound when I play

This doesn’t help for me. Disabling the sound does help with the stutters.

It must be related to assets being loaded on the fly. Engine or CPU or something gets freed up when there’s no sound processing, so it’s not maxing out when running around int he world.

Valdrakken has lots of NPC’s and players to load in. Maybe test when there’s hardly anyone in there? Like 3 AM on a Tuesday

Game is litterally so un optimised i get gpu driver crashes system freezes and it always happens while its loading in stuff really depressing Blizzard do something i have high end machine freezing up on top of that i see weird cpu usage om latest AMD gpu drivers while old gpu drivers see normal cpu usage something odd going on…

i turn GXcachelessshader mode 1 with no sound. and game smooth
problem only with sound for me. when i turn off sound game smooth
when i only gxshader 0 this will not help.

sound problem…

valdrakken like hell. i get 140-200 fps game. but city i get 60 -70 fps

game needs sound fix and optimization. especially valdrakken area.

That command doesn’t do anything anymore. Blizzard hotfixed it a while back.

True, they removed it shortly after prepatch launch. Funny thing is that in tickets tech support tells you to use this command XD

Sound channels used to be limited to 64 i believe so that should atleast work if this does not work they did something really bad.

This is what I said my thread just a while back. Keep pushing this, they’ll have to fix it at some point. I have outlined the rigs I have in my post. Both have the issue. This is not limited to older hardware.

Has Blizzard provided any responses to these issues because its really affecting my enjoyment of wow

imagine you need disable or reduce sound quality for better game performance in 2022  Last time i did this Windows 95-98 era
