Disabling Max Foreground FPS setting increases FPS (10-50+ FPS Gained)

My framerate is constantly hovering around 80FPS and my Max FPS is set to 120. I have run various tests and the results are all the same:

When i disable ‘Max FPS’ my FPS increases to 95-100 and when i enable it again it drops back to 75-80.

Again to confirm my MAX FPS setting is 120FPS so when enabled or disabled this should have no affect when my FPS is 75-80, yet by disabling it my FPS jumps by 10.

You can recreate this by just showing FPS, setting the MAX FPS to very high e.g. 200 and just toggling it on and off…

I just tried with vertical Sync off too and FPS goes from 180 with ‘MAX FPS’ OFF! to 130 with MAX FPS on (value set to 200).

So ‘Max FPS’ on is heavily hurting native FPS
