I know there’s lots of bugs that Bliz are [hopefully] working through, but I didn’t see this in the known issues: -
When levelling an old shaman alt in the dragon isles, I’ve had an issue 5 or more times where my character becomes invisible. I can see my shields orbiting around, but not my character. If I mount up, the character is visible, but when I dismount it’s invisible again. /reload doesn’t fix it, only exiting the game and restarting.
Has anyone seen this and/or know a fix?
I only had that when there was the bug with the Diablo WoW mount but I thought that had been fixed.
Do a Scan and Repair of your installation, and update graphics drivers. I am not saying it will fix the issue, but there is a chance it might.
This is it! Thank you. I was using the Amalgam of Rage as it looked a nice fit for an elemental shaman. I wasn’t aware of the bug.
Btw the shaman class order hall mount looks awesome with dragon riding. You should try that out if you have it. You are pretty much surfing on the elemental.
Thanks. I must have it, as I got the order hall mounts for every class, but I don’t remember seeing it in my mount list. Gonna have a search for it. Cheers.
[Update:] So, it turns out I didn’t have the mount. I’d done both the meta achievements on all classes, but somehow missed the ‘Gathering of the Storms’ quest on my shammy. A quick flight to Deliverance Point, back to the class hall, 2 mins to do the scenario, and job done, a nice new mount more befitting of a master of the elements! Thanks again.
