Disarm effect
Disarms are crowd control effects that remove the target’s main hand weapon for a short time. Player-caused Disarms also remove the target’s off hand weapon or shield if equipped. This has the effect of lowering the target’s damage, and prevents abilities that require a weapon equipped from being used. All player-caused disarm effects are subject to diminishing returns.

but disarm isnt a cc! you dont control the player, you reduce the dmg he does, by that logic you could use disarm on a mage to stop him casting poly or stop the healer from casting heals

You reduce damage by 100% and also stop some defensives. It’s virtually a stun except you can move.

Also if someone is good enough or the opponent is bad enough that they war banner the disarm I think they should be rewarded.

What are you on about? OF COURSE it is a crowd control. You control someone’s actions for the next 6 seconds. Say a Warrior is using Avatar on you and your partner disarms him. How is that not a direct interaction to keep the Warrior’s damage under control for the next 6 seconds while also impeding him from using stuff like Bladestorm?
