hello i am disc priest main for 2+ years and if i see the new shadow covenant talent i think it is good design, except one thing and that is the most of the time you don’t have enough shadow spells to press so to be competable with sins of the many in that row. I think proc to 50% stronger penance (power of the dark side) should be shadow spell instead holy, it makes it smoother and it also make sense.
Are you familiar with our friend shadowmend?

yeah i know you can spam shadowmend in this window but if you want make usage of the damage boost so it heal more through atonement you don’t want spam shadowmend and casting mind sear is only thing you can use but it is not that good to single which again another reason to make power of the dark side proc change penance to shadow spell… and sorry schism mindblast and death is cool but i fell it lacking something after that because mind sear is just not that good to spam unless there is some juicy big pack so i want to add to that penance proc

Done alot of BG’s lately to get some marks of honor, seriously… Playing holy is not viable in bg’s…
Now disc has one unique thing: You get locked on shadow? You cast pennance and shields, you get locked on penance (holy) you cast shadowmend.
Making penance shadow school is an instant delete to disc priest, at least in pvp.

well i want and i think it makes sense if only with proc that would be shadow spell and i heard lots of people that disc in pvp is pretty strong not sure about bg but in arena for sure and if this would be some kinda of nerf it would help to balance the game…
Priests have no mobility, no way to clear roots+slows and no defensive.
If disc has 2 diff schools to heal with its good, because holy that has 1 is literally unplayable in pvp tho.
In pve makes 0 difference anyways.
i want only with proc to be school of shadow and it would be buff to shadow covenant and also make it little bit more interesting in pvp don’t say anything like it would ruin pvp if most of the time you would be still able cast penance when you are locked because i talked only about proc also other healers can’t do almost anything when they are locked why make it different in priest?
Schism, Mindblast, shadowfiend, Shadowmend, Mind sear.
Shadow convenant will probably be better in dungeons than sins of the many. If you’re out of cooldowns just use the remainer of your shadow covenant to apply shadowmends if your team still has some damage, or mind sear to gain that tail end of increased damage for some extra damage.
Holy being viable or unviable in PVP literally never had anything to do with the fact that they have only one school (as every other healing spec in the game)… it’s also very recent that Disc has two schools, and being lock on a school is still punitive as else you don’t have access to your flash heal else you have to burn your mana and have only your flash heal, meaning risking another lockout.
Also in battlegrounds Holy is a really strong spec now, Renew healing is insanely strong thanks to the scaling, PoM / Cardinal Mending heal for a lot and with your SoL procs you basically have never to cast unless you’re trying to save someone, situation for which you have talented GA meaning you have +60% healing on a target roughly every 50 seconds. The only real downsides of Holy to Disc currently in this setting are the mana consumption and damage output (raw output from PtW + dark archangel).

I am not talking about now buddy, i played before the prepatch and as disc because of 2 schools i was literally invincible by 3-4 low geared dps. As holy though… No matter what it was a paper xD
