Since the latest patch I have been having a disconnect whenever I mouse over a cyrillic named character. Not even any LUA error, just straight up booted to the login screen. This is likely caused by an addon, I know that, but an addon should never be causing an instant disconnect regardless.

If an addon is causing it then it’s nothing to do with Blizzard and the add-on developer needs to fix it.
Addons can cause disconnections if they malfunction and produce too many errors at once, or if they spam the server with too many requests.
Judging by the amount of people have the same problem, it is most certainly a bug on Blizzard’s side that is triggering some sort of anti cheat disconnect. If an addon were to generate so many errors that I disconnect from it, it would definitely not instant DC me. I’ve been in plenty situations with a buggy addon or weak aura and have it absolutely spewing errors. It slows down the game to a crawl, but a disconnect does not happen until much later.
