Hey there. This isn’t a massive issue but still a slight annoyance to say the least.
My friend group occasionally likes to just stream games while we chill on voice, but it appears that somewhere between two weeks ago and yesterday Discord streaming runs into some issues with WoW. What happens is that if WoW isn’t the focused window, the stream will revert back to the moment I started streaming, freeze there, and show people my Discord window as well (despite only streaming the game rather than my entire screen). I play in windowed and still see the game running on my end, it’s not frozen or anything, just the stream itself.
The reason I post this issue here rather than ask Discord about it (though I do plan to do that as well just to be sure) is that any other game we’ve tried works fine, including other Blizzard games. For reference, the games we’ve tried are Diablo 3, Overwatch, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Final Fantasy XIV, Life is Strange and even Classic WoW works fine. This leads me to believe the issue is with BfA WoW. I do recall my client downloading a small update a few days ago. Perhaps that messed something up?
I have a single monitor setup (I know, ancient times and all that) so occasionally tabbing out to say, read discord, is kinda unavoidable. Things are fine when I tab back into WoW again, hence why I say it isn’t a huge issue, but it still seems like something to fix.
