(Discussion) I wish, I wish

I wish light-undead wasn’t a thing. I’d forgive everything else in BfA just… not this pls.

I wish every zone (except maybe desert zones) were covered in snow during Winter Veil. Just imagine Loch Modan, Mulgore, or Ashenvale as gigantic winter wonderlands!

I wish goldshire people to disappear from the server so normal people could rp there

At least be reasonable. Santa wouldn’t even be able to grant this wish. :santa:

I wish people on this forum here weren’t so petty and passive-aggressive. How come many here seem to treat this like some highschool clique? So many “jabs” aimed at people for no particularly good reason and on occasion it borders on harassment. Voice an opinion and you’ll be ridiculed for having an independent thought. There are some here who are very guilty of this, and of course they will laugh it off and pretend it’s just “banter” but deep down we all know they’re serious.

Some people have actually earned scorn. Not everyone ofc, but some.

I’d love a Dark Iron and a Kul Tiran. I wish that, at this stage of the expansion, they’d remove the asinine requirements to unlock Allied Races. Miss me with that “grind a toon to 120, grind the right reps, do the unlock quest chain, then grind your toon up to 120 again” malarkey.

We’ve seen these patterns before, and much like with Pathfinder unlocks, Allied Race unlocks are only going to become more of a grievance as time goes on and the content becomes more and more outdated.

I think they should knock the races released in Legion down to revered.

At least in Legion getting the rep on one faction meant you had it on the other side for their races too :frowning: I was pretty disappointed to see that was not the case in BfA.

Faction change and you will have it. ^^

But then you have to do all the quests (if it’s Zandalari)

Oh the horror.

There is a case to be made that there’s a difference between representing Asian cultures as a fictionalized world, especially with a mostly-positive spin, and having their randomly generated language be variations of “Ching chong ding dong”.

It’s actually a bit of a problem based on the Chinese language. If you take an Indo-European or Semitic language, using random syllables to create nonsense words is quite easy - but both Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese are tonal languages, with a relatively small number of syllables where the meaning changes by intonation.

So instead of nonsense syllables, a randomly generated text would read like the Pandaren were saying “Foot bacon poppy up dog bacon, forward north?” and that does end up kinda being worse.

They’re booooring! I think, never done em.

Then be quiet!

I wish we had a novella or full-length novel about the War of the Three Hammers. Or the Fall of Gnomeregan. Or the Gilnean Civil War. Or how the Tauren united against the Centaur. Or the Darkspear splintering from the Gurubashi. Or like, anything about Goblin history.

It’d be nice if the races that’re eternally branded as sidekicks got even a fraction of the history & development that the “main” races did. It’s great that humans, Orcs, and the two main race elves are as fleshed out as they are, but it’s still frustrating that Blizzard feels the need to constantly develop them more instead of giving stories where they’re really needed.

I find questing boring. It’s just how it is bbz.
And don’t try to silence me. This is a democracy!

Not anymore it isn’t. :dagger:
