Dispel for shadow priest

Will dispel get back for shadow priest? I really miss this simple way out of say frost nova when doing daylies and mobs freeze me, seems lame at 120 not have such essential utility.
As for promised return of class-wide abilities I would love to bring priest back to vanilla state, things I can’t get used to since they were “surgically removed” are:

PWS as holy

Dispel

We have Dispel Magic, Purify Disease, and Mass Dispel currently.

Even when we had it, why would you use it as holy? It was a waste of mana.

Dispel was removed from shadow in cata, not WoD or any other “pruning” expansion. It was removed from all none healer specs except shadow as a design choice at the end of wrath, and then shadow after the first season of cata.

Defensive dispel itself, even from a healing standpoint, has gone through multiple iterations since cata, and has arguably, if not definitely become even more powerful since then.

Dispel isn’t “essential utility” nor is it primarily used for getting out of pesky frost novas. It’s one of the most important parts of pvp balance.

PVP balance is a thing, quality of life is a thing. If I played the warrior… oh wait, being kited as a warrior, that is more then just annoyance. Still, pruning the abilities sux. Coming back from classic to retail is like a rude awakening, this time around. It reminds what we are missing, and we had to accept because there was no other wow. I believe that Shadowlands might be the expansion that can actualy take best from both worlds and make it viable and improve gaming experience for any player, not just a pvper.
For example in Diablo there is an ability that give a player an opportunity to get out of any movement impairing effect, and something similar can be given to all classes for pve in wow, with the exception of dungeons and raids maybe? It could be an item, but not like a pvp trinket, no cooldown. Just a thought.

Surely the better candidate for that is fade / phantasm then? Something that has in the past also broken roots / slows, and doesn’t have the massive cascade of implications that something like dispel does.
