The flying animation of this mount is absolutely horrible. I can’t post a video but the base of the wings clip through the bird’s body and the wings themselves have a very clunky animation when flapping. An absolute clipping OCD nightmare, such a shame. Hopefully in the next expansion they will revisit the animation when they introduce dragonriding.
Also, this mount doesn’t have a /mountspecial animation. You already have the summon animation, at least reuse it as a /mountspecial…

This is not how wings work, Blizzard
Could be a feature but it is a bug (reproducible)
It does look a bit better, the wing flap animation is still strange but I notice that they use the same animation for all mounts with Eagle-like wings. Anyway, now this particular mount has a size bug with the addition of flight styles.
I’m not thrilled by the flight animation most insects use; instead of folding their wings back for “Surge Foreward” they should just increase the frequency of beating… look especially weird with dragonfly wings.
The new mount animations are as lazy / rushed as the rest of the pre-patch; let’s hope they get the time to improve them in the future… ;/
Agreed, even the shop mounts are lazy done, for example the Iron Skyreaver rotating thrusters animation is not working while Dragonriding. The shaman class mount platform is weirdly distanced too much from the elemental and looks detached. And the list goes on.
Quantity at the expense of quality indeed. I would rather they did not make all mounts able to dragonride if it means butchering animations and “integrity” of mounts.
And regarding Ohnahra, sad, considering the mount is rather special.
