No, not worth it anymore. FV is much stronger for single target and Tempest is much stronger for aoe. Ret will stay bottom tier for the rest of SL, thanks Blizz you really know how to design a good game.

Actually ret is one of the top dps right now. Dunno where you get your information from.
Ret was only siming so high (top 5) because of the pre nerf legendary. (all sims take in account using Divine resonance with 30s duration). On warcraftlogs we are on the 11 place (middle of the pack).
Now after nerfing divine resonance ret will be back at the bottom of the dps charts, maybe even worse than survival hunters. But nothing new here, we are at the bottom since 3 years.
I was excited about 9.1 being finally our time to shine, but blizzard doesn’t allow fun.

We can only dream on… but nope - they are too hurry to buff the FIRE MAGE’s abilities… my god… Would be actually nice to get some REAL explanation behind this - not the “noticed” “decided” “made a change” but some real FACTS and if its frigin PVP related… then FIX THE PVP SIDE AND LEAVE THE PVE ALONE!.. starting to get really really bored of this incompetence that only change of getting something to change is WHEN NEW EXPANSION COMES - whats that year or two again ?

Update: i just made some sims to DV vs FV

FV : 6,661 DPS
DV: 6,634 DPS
Edit: i wouldn’t spend time to craft this lego for now if it hits the live server as for me the NERF made this new leggo worthless .
As a Ret Paladin I have been paitently waiting for a well needed DPS buff.
Hopes have been shattered, I won’t be resubbing, plently of other games to play.

It’s honestly sad that Ret is at a point where I didn’t bother switching to Kyrian just because I knew that this would happen. It’s like any time Ret gets somewhat competitive, Blizzard has to step in and do something about it.
Divine ressonance is still better than Final verdict,theese extra judgements combined with
Virtuous Command conduit are realy great. Same for Pvp more judgements more lawbringer dmg/more passive dmg from Virtuous Command too. I rarely do sim(usualy only trinkets/items with procs) as it is just robot doing perfect rotation/ideal scenarios, in real fight you adapt/improvise sim cant calculate that. i test everything myself on dummy or raid by itself and i noticed dps gain from divine ressonance combined with virtuous command conduit, ofc it is not that crazy but still my estimate is around 2,6-3,4 %. But if you play only Pvp i think final verdict is equal of Divine ressonance. I tested both this season, and it seems to not matter which one you have, your dmg is not affected. Only good advantage resonance has it is automatic on target you are targeting so if he runs away it can finish him off due to lawbringer+that proc judgement.

This lego for Prot paladin is a big joke I mean It gives next to nothing.
Our best and second best legos are far better so what is the point in doing a thousand legs that dont have any use and on top on that you have to pay real money to get them at max ilvl?
With our second best lego I can spam in a lucky situation like 15 avengers shields in 1 minute.
