So is Divine Storm getting nerf or what?
300 Average damage 1 cast. Does more than a 100 rage dumped Execute. A 5 combo point Eviscerate. 3 explosive shots. The same as a lava burst crit. More than a Chaos bolt. More than any button a mages does.
Did I mention it’s AOE?

As a Retribution Player really pushing for allowing Seal Twisting of Seal of Martyrdom and Seal of Command I can somewhat aggree with Divine Storm being either too strong and Seal of Martyrdom being too weak.
I don’t get why Divine Storm is doing more damage single target than Seal of Martyrdom. Seal of Martyrdom lost its AoE and its not even as strong as the AoE Rune (Divine Storm) at single target.
I would prefer Blizzard to allow Seal Twisting Seal of Martyrdom with Seal of Command and give Martyrdom some of its AoE back. Divine Storm would probably still outpreform on AoE with this change with Seal of Martyrdom having some AoE capibilities whilst being strong single target.
Either way I do think Divine Storm is a bit strong to have this early in the game but they honestly should just give us Seal Twisting back so we can have more variance.
Personally I think Seal Twisting needs reworked. Either make it a feature or remove it and make Crusader Strike a passive not a rune.
At least then you can still use a seal, auto attack and reset auto with Crusader strike.
Divine Storm however is just too OP at level 25. If it’s this good now, I worry about scaling. Also the heal needs removed altogether, it does too many things for an ability that costs 12% mana on a 10 Sec CD.
Although this is anecdotal evidence, Iven seen Palas out healing warriors wailing on them with the same gear level with just Divine Storm.
Just give it the explosive shot treatment.
It is op at level 25, it will be not strong enought at level 60
300 damage is supposed to be big nowadays?
I think it’s okay given the CD and imo Paladins are going to fall back down in the end, because their talent trees are godawful at scaling damage, compared to warriors, for example.
This excuse didn’t work for hunters getting nerfed, don’t be hypocritical, everyone is in the same boat.

Well, I don’t know, my CB is slamming for upwards 800+ already, so mileage varies.
But Explosive Shot’s issue mostly was that it was instant 35yd range ability that had like what… 6 seconds CD?
Now I am not saying Divine Storm is dog, it’s pretty strong, but it really just that - a decent strike ability that does not really do any sort of ludicrous damage. Of things OP at the moment, this one is probably not even top 5.
I think Paladins are overall going to be very average even with all the candies they desperately needed to even be a viable DPS option. They will have eye popping PvP burst, but PvE - I think they just will fall off vs Warriors again, because Ret talents are just not good enough.

Cool but Hunter after nerfs are still better DPS then rets, same as Warriors who will only keep scaling more with gear and new skills
So yea Ret is middle of the pack spec not top 1 50% abowe 2nd one like Hunter was
Stop balancing the game only by pve, currently a paladin is much more dangerous than a hunter in pvp and by a long way. The hunter is easily controlled and only his pet is dangerous. Kill the hunter, no more pet, paladin on the other hand can burst you in 2-3 seconds.
The game should be balanced especially in PvP, not just around the DPSmeter which is often ultra conditional depending on the fight and its duration.
I think that game balancing for season of discovery should be more reactive at the level Brackets, now it’s 25, next it’s 40, then 60.
People will flavour of the month reroll to the most OP class because they can level to 25 in 2 days, and well be left with severs with 70% paladins etc.
For the game to be healthy and successful, small incremental changes have to be constant to maintain player interest.
That’s because the scorpion isn’t fixed yet. Devs mentioned they are working on a proper fix since their latest made aspect of the lion take away stats from their pet.
Whenever this is fixed hunters will be your standard rotation vanilla hunter with kinda meh dmg. The dmg part might be fine, but for a season like this their abilities are kind of lame… especially as the only 1-role class… for now at least.
Paladins are literally killing the game. They are literal bossfights and 80% of alliance are paladins WTF
