DK Race change

Hey boys n girls.

I’ve been playing a Tauren Blood DK for as long as I can remember. But always hated the big posture of tauren. With the 30% discount on the race change im seriously on the fence to just change my race.

However. I realy like the Zandalari Troll for it’s looks (my opinion ofcourse). But the Belf has a far better racial from what I’ve read. So does the panda (with the food buff?) correct me if I’m wrong.

I am by no means a hardcore player. Casual is how I roll. I do tank in the guild I am in and I want to know if the racials are a big deal or not. I’ve searched the forums but can’t seem to find a clear answer. Or I’m just not looking good enough.

So I am asking you folks. What is your opinion on this matter?

I can recommend the vulpera. Quite useful racials if you’re a casual player, plus their posture is small. Pandaren is another good option as well.

Racials doesn’t matter, pick a race what you like.

i like taurens with shileds but 1H and 2H dont really like.

orcs, zandalari and belf look good imo, zandalari only problem is the feet

Make several trial characters and check the animations and armour. Ultimately the deciding factor will be how much you enjoy what you see.

get to the light while you can, pick lightforged dranei now, we dont have cookies only good racial armor :slight_smile:

Can’t stop loving my Worgen DK… somehow he looks ferocious espescially dual wielding

Racials does not matter much unless you are a Mythic raider or play PvP at competitive level, and perhaps not even then if you do not want to take min-maxing to extreme. You are right about the benefits and e.g. Blood Elf’s Arcane Torrent gives extra runic power instead of mana which is useful for DKs. Panda’s food buff is advantage in general and not specific for DKs so I would not worry too much about that, moreover, I am not sure if the benefits got nerfed at some point already. Anyhow, for casual player the racials does not matter much or anything at all, therefore, just play the race you want to. :slight_smile:

Agreed. If you’re not pushing the highest class keys nor serious Mythic raiding you should not care about racial, play what race you enjoy best.

That said, for Blood DK I’d say Vulpera for Horde has the best racial.

Pandaren are good too, for Horde and Alliance. I’d say there are good not only for the food buff but for their active racial.
