Hi guys,
I’m a DK and stuck at 1600 arena rating. I am simply unable to push further. 
The problem starts when hybrid + healer enters the arena game.
as a DK without MS it seems unpossible to kill anyone. a good chillstreak combo i get people to 5% and then with a instant they are full health.
In RBG I was very successfull creating my own groups, leading them, and targetcalling. However arena… I just don’t know.
Is it just me or are certain classes unable to kill others?
I wouldnt worry about it too much, if I were you. DK isnt a good class atm and 1600+ in 2s is plagued by the top meta comps with warriors and bm hunters, maybe some mage+rogue. I would wait for 9.1 if DK receives some meaningful changes, because right now, it is hard to push 2s outside of the 2 comps, not mentioning its super annoying to do it.
As with every single non-MS dpser, your win condition is dampening in 2s. The stuff up 'til then is just moving through the motions, hoping for a random luck with crit and landing the interrupts on what needs to be interrupted and so on that can force out a cd of some kind when they wanted to save it for your burst.
Other than that, I’d argue DK excels in “map control” as it’s called. Your slow is 70%, you’ve got several grips as necro (one with a 2m cd though, but w/e), and you yourself can’t be slowed much.
So you control the map, do your stuff, and win with dampening. High rated DKs in 2s tends to play with rshams using the earthquake legendary to push out more solid pressure as well.
You can always win randomly early on, especially on 1600 rating, but once people start playing better then it becomes more about map awareness and control. Knowing what to LoS, knowing what to target and when and so on.
It’s seriously aids to play as a DK in 2s rn though. It isn’t fun to play, and it isn’t fun to face. You’re better off sticking with RBGs.
Kite a lot and focus on living during pillar down time. Also have your healer assist you during pillar windows to help secure the kill.
Vs warriors just spam chain them when pillar is off cd, if you go toe to toe with warrior you get crushed.
Vs hunter you and your healer need to play aggressive and look for setups on the pet + hunters healer. If it’s resto druid I’m pretty sure you cannot win unless they feed.
Vs most casters you can cheese with ams legendary but even without those matchups while long are usually heavily favored to you.
Vs rogue + mage make a cd rotation. For example if mage combusts opener you trade trinket/wall -> AMZ. If they don’t pop you can live with wall only. Then on next setup you can either wall + ams or your healer trinkets depending on their cds.
Ret wings, combustion, incarn etc. Just make a habit of always trading AMZ on those.
You could probably play a lot better in all scenarios you could imagine, but the fact is DKs are simply not in a good spot for arenas right now, stick to RBGs and wait for 9.1. If 9.1 doesn’t push DKs even a little, you might as well unsubscribe if arenas are your thing.
Guys, he has duelist gear. It’s definitely a l2p issue if you can’t exceed 1.600 with 226 item lvl.

I would suggest you to do 3s,its much easier than 2s.
2s is pointless anyway.
At 2400 and 4-5 k games played to get there,you realize there’s no point playing it,and you could’ve spend all that time doing 3s,where you can actually get gladiator rather than 2s ‘‘elite dk’’ lul
TSG has been always strong,dk/balance druid/hpala or dk/ret pala/rshaman
Most important thing would be not to give up.Once you do quit,you will always do that,since its much easier than having to do few thousand games,but once you sit and spend all your time playing arenas and grinding,you will get there that i promisse you.
There’s one guy on forums,fire mage.It took him 7.000 games to get to 2100.
You havent played that many games at all,and you actually managed to get 1600 in less games than most people both in 2s and 3s.
Keep your head up and keep grinding.How do you think all these multi rank 1 people got their ratings?By practice.Most of them have 100.000 arena games played since TBC.
Even if you lose every single game you play (and its simply not possible) you gonna have more knowledge than when you just started playing.
That’s why rbg duelist gear should be at 2400 and rival at 2100.

DK isnt meta right now in 2s yes but there are more than enough DKs above 2100 so just by that its obvious that he can improve alot.
If 9.1 hits and dk will be better in 2s then he might be 100 or 200 rating higher but will stuck again. He wont be a better player.
on topic:
I suggest playing with an rshaman. You have an additional kick, good dmg and he can help with skyfury and cap stun during your setups. If he plays earthele legendary its also very good.
I would go healer most of the time tbh.
Always keep chain up on every target. Thats propably the most important thing. Kite when other use heavy cds. Its all you got.
I mean, you could also just roll a bm hunter and get your undeserved 2.4 today.

no shame in that 1.6 is basically 1.8 now
It is probabbly like 2k-2,1k last season 2nd season from my experience is always deflated greatly. Like you can always wait and get rating easier. Also you only have 226 Ilvl, if you want high rating you need to improve your gear, you can buy 230 piece for cheap for example, do world boss for 233, or farm m+. Real truth is and many deny it for some reason Gear is everything now, the gains are exponential this expansion. If your goal is enchat/mog at 2,1 or title/mount at 2,4k doest it realy matter if you get it close to season end or at start, ofc not results are the same.
