DK Unholy and Touch of the Grave undead passive

the dk uh mastery says it increases the damage of my minions and my shadow damaging abilities but mastery doesn’t increase my Touch of the Grave damage, is this a bug?

most likely working as intended to not make every DK race change to undead

The mastery only applies internally. i.e. The DK’s own specific kit of abilities.

Dam, that unclear, I also made a vulpera Enhancement some time ago
because his mastery increased the damage of nature damage and the vial that you throw with vulpi is nature damage (so obviously i thought i was scale
), I think they should be clearer with what applies and what not, I come from path of exile, that game is zero intuitive but at least things do what it says in its descriptions…

Keep in mind they changed our mastery, frost and unholy for the first time in legion… by hard coding it to only work on our own abilities…because i remember using that shade trinket in ToS and it was awesome as unholy due to scaling with mastery, same with some trinkets that did frost damage, but alas, DK’s cant ever have something so they “fixed” us, aswell as adding the many pvp nerfs patch after patch

Another example i dont even know about is the lightforged beam calldown racial that does holy damage, i am unsure if a lightforged paladin’s mastery increases it’s damage, but i will bet my jaded self that it does, and will do forever. because thye are not DK’s

LF Draenei racial doesn’t scale with ret mastery either, it has nothing to do with dk…

Class based percentage increases such as cooldowns or mastery was changed at BfA launch to no longer affect non class abilities.

It’s just a very simple way for Blizzard to avoid unforeseen overperformance from certain trinkets scaling with specific classes’ masteries.
