My DK voice doesn’t work. Been talking to GM’s and Reading lots on forums e.t.c.
Found out that there is a line " SET Sound_EnableDSPEffects “1” " that is needed in the Config.wtf file.
I tried to manually add this into the config file but everytime i log in the Config file gets reseted and the textline is gone. Therefor i can’t get my DK voice to work.
Any suggestions?
If config.wtf gets reset every time, there’s usually something playing up in your WTF folder.
Try renaming your current WTF folder to a backup, let the game generate a new one, and edit config.wtf in the new folder.
Edit: obviously close the game + blizzard client before attempting this.
If all else fails, try making the config.wtf read only. This will make any changes you make to settings in-game reset upon restarting the game, but it would probably work.
Been trying that now, also movied my client to my first harddrive e.t.c.
resested UI and more. tried also with the Read only, the text stays it seem but still no voice change… 
Can you try to change the cvar in-game, just to see if it’s actually working at all?
/console Sound_EnableDSPEffects 1
That should enable the setting from the in-game console.
I have tried that aswell, nothing happening. should i just write that out in a normal /say for example? and should i get any notification of something being done?
Yeah, just write it out in chat and hit enter - you won’t get any notifications or anything. If that’s still not working, something else is borking up, unfortunately. At that point it may be necessary to raise a ticket with the support team here:
Yea been in touch with various GM’s without success. Can’t understand why Blizzard removed the easy setting for it… and that typical text line isn’t even a standard in the config anymore it seem, if i reset the config it’s not there… Been trying various things for a week now without success… so annoying. i’m one of those that actually like the DK voice and feel it give’s me a touch of gameplay feeling
