Word of mouth among the Highborne has it that one of their kin is planning an expedition to Azsuna in search of a potent old relic. A magical weapon created during the old Empire it is said, best retrieved from its hiding than left to fall into wrong hands should it still exist. The details of its nature or more precise whereabouts no doubt withheld on purpose to avoid competition in finding it.
The source of this rumor, artificer Serafier Winterflow, has supposedly discovered a lead to the relic’s location, and she is looking for a group of experienced Highborne to escort her daughter to unearth it.
Twenty gold a head has been promised in exchange of bringing the item to the night elves’ battle arsenal… though a few hushed, contemplating whispers dare allude to an opportunity to seize the item. What is twenty gold compared to a powerful artifact? Not everyone is driven by selfless pursuits, especially among those addicted to the arcane magic for countless ages.

If you’d like to apply to the expedition, please formulate an in-character letter to Serafier or Acrona expressing your character’s interest to kick off a dialogue. Since I’ll be DMing for the first time for people I might not have any prior experience with, a few notes:
The event is more about collaboration than whose character is most powerful. Its purpose is to help people build character connections through a small narrative. Even if your character is an arrogant prick with selfish intentions (completely fine), the OOC motivation should be to make the roleplay fun not only for yourself, but also those around you.
There will be some /rolls to play with chance, but without a complex roll system or character attributes.
The ten person limit is to make sure I’ll be able to follow and react to people’s actions, having only DMed for small groups before. If the participants and myself have a good time, I might do something like this again with a bit less niche concept; testing waters here to see how it goes.

Say, if you have non-highborne stationed near Azsuna, might you be interested in some campfire RP after the event, or you’d rather focus on highborne-only interactions?
The good news is that, as of SL, all these mobs should be scaled between 10 and 45, hence it will be an easy feat to accomplish!
It might be a bit late when the event ends, and I’m not sure what the characters will choose to do afterward, but if people do stick around Azsuna to rest up I don’t mind other characters chancing to come by! I might be too tired for it after DMing but we’ll see
