Vengeance is fun. Basically DOOMguy. Rip and tear until it is done!
I’m playing an ancients paladin at the moment. Y’all haven’t known fear until a paladin teleports behind you and says “You’re already dead” as they deliver a smite crit to the back of the head.
Also my DM won’t let me smite with my fists and that makes me sad.
I think I saw it earlier but players that come up with things from Dandwiki…
Once had a guy with a dragonknight, he gained a feat every two levels and had a golden dragon pet. Boy I hated it.
I do not mind homebrew classes if you and the DM work together to balance it out. On monday for example I play a Yuan-ti (yes busted race) witch. If it turns up under- or overpowered we start tweaking.
I also have this grand list of characters to play but I dont have enough days to fit campaigns for all of them!
I’ve looked at that site a few times, and oh boy…it really seem to be the central home of -bad- homebrew stuff. Either fanfic characters/creatures poorly adaptated from franchises, or incredibly overpowered subclasses/spells etc.
One day I want to do a one shot where it’s lv20 and people are encouraged to find the most broken sh!t on the internet that they can and just go hogwild in a battle royale of the gods.
If you’re going to include homebrew in your game, talk it out with your players and make it yourself with your players. Just… taking it off the internet and shoving it into your game is a sure-fire way to screw things up.
Ordinarily I have a flat ban on homebrew classes, with races being on a case by case basis and depending on setting.
I just want to observe the sheer chaos of everybody being a max level race and class from DandDwiki. Make it a contest to see who can find the most utterly broken character of them all.
Because that is crazily OP. And half of the stuff on Dandwiki is busted like that.
And someone without a sense of balance or just utterly mad clearly thought it was a good idea…why, I have no clue.
