You misunderstood me I said it doesant give you any advantage in game it’s still up to your own skill this just tracks your skill so others like minded people can invite you.Sometimes I feel like I am speaking Japanese cause people don’t seem to understand me.

addons do play part of the game for you and worst off all Blizzard designs around the use of them
you get told when and why to move, you get your cooldowns tracked for you, your buffs, who to dispell etc etc
sure, YOU have to be the one to ultimately make the decision to do all of those things but without addons you wouldnt know and thats the problem
Blizzard could design their encounters differently but since they care waaaay too much about raiding they’ll unfortunantly never will
Because if you don’t design it around addons, you will end up with tank and spank boss with super telegraphed mechanics, without addons there is a limit at what you can do, addon increase that limit.
Also different opinion, WoW at the moment is really high paced compared to the past and having information at the same high speed is vital. Would agree if the game was slower paced but that is not the case.

Blizzard should implement some addons into the game and ban use of the rest of them.
There is no excuse for using addons… Mindless monkeys of players cant track their cd or watch boss without bot doing this for them - pityful
This has been done for some addons. Or at least made certain addons obsolete.
Gearscore for example, may it never show its ugly numbery head again.

But what if you turn it around? Playing devil’s advocate here, what about people that are colourblind or have some other handicap and they need addons to play properly? If you remove and ban all addons you’ll maybe have an even playing field in theory, but you’ll severely penalise people who are limited by factors that are out of their control.
I’d argue that the way it works now IS an even playing field, anyone can download addons and customise their UI to their needs completely free of charge.
Would really love to see 20 of you “non mindless monkeys” play the game with 0 addons.
Would be fun to watch.
I never use addons
No, they make the game playable. Try healing with the default UI, it’s horrible.

Addons exist, they are essentially extra ways of customising what you do. Addons do all sorts of things in the game. They are written by people who play the game, for free.
Some functions addons perform have been incorporated into the game over time. Going back and playing Classic I realised how many of the simplest things have been incorporated when I needed addons to do the most basic things we take for granted in Retail.
Addons enhance the player’s experience and there is a wealth of choice out there to do all sorts of things in the game to tailor it how you want. It is bizarre to blanket addons toxic.

I don’t think their ever will be a true even playing field. Needing to download non-blizzard addons is something that not everyone wants to do. Be it suspicion of the addon creators or any other reason.
I do believe Blizzard tries to implement ideas from addons into the games to make it more “fair” for everyone.
Pff I did Heroic Argus in Legion, Mage Tower and Mythic 15 keystone. Only because I dont give a damn about BFA does not mean that I don’t know how to play.
At least I did it by my own skill and not following bot like you~ 
Sure, but at least you have the option to do so. Instead of removing the option altogether.
I usually don’t like when they remove options/choice, but opinions differ and that’s fine

A better analogy, although still not quite hitting the mark, would be playing sport at school where you’re forced to use the cheaper, lower tech school kit whilst the rest of the team are using higher grade kit they have brought themselves.

I dont care if I would do them without team using addons… I would be happy doing normal and m10 knowing that there are no addons in game.
SWTOR and other MMOs are banning for use of addons and people are still able to play raids. Maybe we found a reason why WoW is still alive~ half playing seems to be popular.
