Like the title say, will blizzard add more hardcore challenge like mage tower in the futur?
I feel like it’s really fun to get a solo content that can’t be cheese and forcing you to practice, get better and learn your class to full.
I’m currently 6/7 on mage tower and so far it wasn’t easy but really fun to get better and the reward are really cool as well (looking for the mount currently).
I think the Delve seasonal bosses can be some what comparable to that kind of challenge.
I competed the??? Boss but it was easy compared to mage tower.
Hopefully they bring more it’s fun

Depend the spec I guess, zekvir as sp was easy.
Mage tower as blood dk and outlaw was hard, some rng factor that can make you lose. Frost dk one you need full bis gear or you don’t have the dmg to kill the shadow boss.
Demono/destru, no gear was easy just practicing and that’s it.
I’m not a fan of them personally. Neither was I fan of the Mage Tower. As soon as I realised it was the same type of challenge, I just stopped and did something else that I find fun.
But from my understanding, there will be a new boss each season.
Not a high percentage of Players completed Mage Tower. I saw 10% being mentioned before but I can’t remember where I saw that.
The only way they can really do it is by doing it a bit like Delves where it has levels so players can progress up the levels until they reach their potential.
For a challenge to be difficult it has to exclude most players.
Not everyone has hand-eye-coordination, sharp reflexes, situational awareness and general gaming skill to the same level.
Mage Tower is cool challenges which aimed on doing mechanics/strategy, instead of face roll.
I’d like to see revamp of Mage Tower, not only just because i want achievement for doing all challanges, but also because current Mage Tower Challanges is outdated (Frost Mage one is require you to have controllable elemental pet) and also a bit scuffed due scaling/squishing during all those expansions, which makes current state of Mage Tower is highly difficult to average player.
Yes some specs have it easier like demono/destru but some are extremely hard if you don’t have bis gear+perfectt rotation.
Personnaly not a big fan of having to spend billion gold to old gear for 1 challenge, most if them I did with tww pvp gear without socket enchant.
Scaling issue is real
I hope more are coming, it’s a nice feature imo .
