i from time to time in random places in the game hear voices in my head. last one was just a few minutes ago in wintergrasp when a voice told me i was powerful and yet i lick the boots off kings

There are various items in the game that whisper you with with voice. You might wanna check what you have stored on your character.

I don’t remember seeing anywhere that Xal’atoh spoke to players…

EDIT:
Think the extent of me owning it was as long as it took to get out of the Raid and d/e it (yes; I out-geared SoO when I got it).
