Really? We had the Flying Machine since TBC and other mech related stuff in every x-pac that comes after it. Ofcourse, you don’t need to get them if you don’t want to eh…
You don’t need to buy the 50 euro xpac and can still enjoy the Classics + Retail up to Dragonflight if you want with just gametime.

Where did you get 500 Euros?
Hmmm. 24 months times 13 Euros plus 50 = 362 Euros. The cost of an expansion is more than you think at first.
And you may well have to upgrade your hardware, considering the absurd requirements. So yeah, if you factor that in as well, I suppose it could cost way more than 500, especially if the hardware costs are much more than the software.
Or did you mean 50 Euros?
As for driving cars, that’s just one patch. It’s a gimmick. There were no cars in this expansion until a couple of weeks ago. If you don’t want to do that, wait and see what they do next patch.
If you like Nature themes, and you intend to spend a lot of time in the world instead of instances. this whole expansion may not be to your liking. I find the zones and music definitely sub-par for WoW. (Music has really fallen off a cliff.) Check out videos and playthroughs on YouTube and decide for yourself.
If you have missed this much of the expansion, do you really mind missing this patch?
OTOH, if you really want to get back in, you’ll do it regardless of having to work around some gimmick.
