do i need to gather these glyphs in tww or they dont serve any purpose besides achievements now ? i didnot play dragonflight as i stated playing this game a month ago.
You no longer need them.
They’re still there and you can collect them but it’s just for fun and achievements now.
No need for dragon riding itself.
thanks both for confirming
You get an Achievement & a Mount.
If you don’t care about either, then there’s no reason to do them
In DF it was useful to actively farm all of them as soon as possible. But know I guess you will end up finding all of them by chance just in the course of playing the game.
How come people have 830% flying and I’m stuck at 710%?
Don’t you go faster if you aim downwards or use the boost ability?
I think this accounts for the difference. But I’m just guessing, I switched to proper flying as soon as I could and won’t use dragon riding unless they force it on us again.
I have noticed this, if you look at a players mount while grounded it says 830% but mine doesn’t is it specific mounts only ?
Now this is a good question. I’ve also noticed it and can’t tell where it’s coming from. I thought things like crusader aura might be the cause
Where do you see your mount speed?
Just for fun, it is useless but I loved finding them!
Mouse over the mount icon when you’re mounted
Wouldn’t that make the dragon racing unfair ?
Tested on a few characters.
All of them except my Evoker showed 705% when mousing over the Icon (while Grounded & flying).
My Evoker showed 830% using Soar.
Druid Flight form did not show a percentage.
Crusader Aura did not show a change.
This was using a mix of DF Mounts & normal flying mounts.
nerf evoker
Gladiator mounts ? Back in WotLK days, gladiator mounts from arena were 310% speed while everyone else was at like 280%. Or did they remove that advantage? Are all mounts the same speed now ?
I mean, not that it matters with Dragonriding. You are so so fast, it’s irrelevant, but still.
They did and they are.
All mounts now go 420%. Which is fast enough for me.
You don’t even need to train the skill anymore. Ding 30 and you’re able to fly straight away.
Looks like it’s a visual bug.
All mounts do 705.
Anything more is just a bug.
Everyone has the same speed mounts, they are slower in the old world than on Dragon Isles.
In TBC there was Gladiator mounts and Ashes of A’lar at 310%, in WOTLK they added a bunch more with the Glory of the Raider mounts for T7, 8 and 10. In Cataclysm they allowed all players to pay another 5000g for 310% flying on all flying mounts.
It was that way right up until Dragonflight, I have no idea how the old style flying works in TWW because I don’t use it anymore.
