Do i skip legion and go to BFA?

I played a bit of BFA months back ( didn’t unlock flying ) and now got the BFA expansion. Started a new character and was wondering if I should focus on the “class hall” thing and upgrading my weapon or just skip past it. With the exp buff going on right now that’s easy.

Are there any advantages of staying besides wanting to see the new zone?

You can’t skip it, if you mean do it as quickly as possible then that’s what you should do anyway.

If you really want to skip it buy a boost.

After a certain level an heirloom is better anyway.

When you’re high enough level to go to BFA zones you can drop it and just move on.

But they are pretty fun to do and have some good lore moments you might not want to miss out on. So just for that I’d say atleast go back when you’re 120 to finish the quests etc.

Legion is worth doing, at least the part to unlock stuff like argus and class order halls

Can you tell me what is good about argus? I tried googling it but didn’t get a satisfactory answer…

Do you want to explore the story? Then, Legion is something that is worth your while, especially since the stuff that happened in it is pretty important not just for WoW but for warcraft in general, and Legion affected the lore more than any other expansion. If you don’t care about lore or that kind of stuff and just want gameplay, skipping it would be the best thing to do.

Then my connected qeustion is, does someone know a mod that let me do all the lore qeusts and skip the filler ones. Because I do care about the lore but have a hard time seeing what’s useless and what not when accepting/trowing away qeusts.

If you do each of the 4 main zones of Legion and your class orderhall campaign, you’re pretty much good to go on the story lorewise. There is a questline for Suramar/Broken isles as well that you might want to check out. It is not too difficult to stay on the main quest, as you just follow it and you get follow up quests regarding that. If you see a NPC by the road randomly and he tells you to kill 10 bears, it’s probably not the main quest.

But as a general tip: most of the quests are a part of the main quest. Those that aren’t are completely disconnected and should be pretty easy to distinguish.

I’d say that a lot of the lore is also behind raid cutscenes, all of Legion raids had one except for the emerald nightmare.

If you want to farm mog from Antorus, or farm mounts.

The class order hall story is definitely worth doing. However you can do it at lvl 120 as well if you want to do the killing of mobs faster.
At 110 you have two choices.
A. Continue the order hall and Legion main story
B. Level to 120 through BFA and then go back to Legion (You will most likely be strong enough to solo some Legion raids on the LFR difficulty with 430ish item level gear)

I’d recommend doing the class order hall stuff. In my opinion, the quests, stories and lore behind them are great. Really great. They are unique to each class as well and I found them to provide some much needed feeling of class identity.

That said, you don’t have to do them while levelling, but I do recommend you go back and finish once you’ve reached max level.

If you’ve never done Legion before, I actually think it’s way better than BfA. I’m levelling an alt now, she’s 112 and I’m trying to see if I can hit 120 without doing any BfA quests.

Doesn’t help BfA only has 3 zones per faction, so after levelling 2 Alliance characters to 120, I’ve seen them all already. Whereas in Legion I still haven’t done some of the storylines.

Oh, AND of course all the class halls are different. So that’s always new content too.

As alliance you can do 6 easy pet battle quests each day, Elwynn (lvl 2), Westfall (lvl 3) Duskwood (lvl 7), Redridge (lvl 5), Burning steppes (lvl 15), Karazhan area (lvl 19).

You can use the warmode experience boost as well.
with the current 100% boost you can get through it pretty quickly.

There are also a few other easy to access pet battle trainers in the cataclysm zones, in this order Hyjal/Stonecore followed by Uldum (no portal back).
Then you can also do 3 pet battles by porting to dalaran and Shattrath.
Shattrath is inside the city and are only lvl 23. For dalaran you have a guy down at the lake in crystal song, and a ghould near the steppes at the border between crystal song and Zuldrak.
But these require some higher lvl pets and might be to time consuming if you don’t have any high lvl pets yet.

in order to get class mount you need two things:

  • Glorious campaign achi
  • Broken Shore questline (15 quest )
I would suggest you to do class hall campaign while leveling ,you need to spend time leveling one way or another so why not clear first part by doing so
    And broken shore at 120

I think you’re missing the point; I want to avoid boring, repetitive content.

The main issue with this for me is that
a) some of the quests are level-restricted, you need to be 107+ for some
b) some require you to do instances, which you can’t queue for if you happen to hit 111
Even if you’re very careful, because of a) you are likely to hit 111 while doing your order hall quests, even if you do them as soon as possible. So you basically have to either freeze your character at 110; level up to 120 and then solo the dungeons; or find someone else to carry you through those dungeons when they come up.

I think you won’t be able to avoid that. Everything is repetitive content when it comes to lvling.
Only other thing I could say is, if you haven’t done a certain zone yet in an older expansion, group up with someone at that zones level and use party sync.

When BfA was released, I re-sub and played Legion then BfA.

Legion is far better then BfA in term of quests, story, etc… I really like it, it sounds the real world of warcraft.

Basically it’s all throwaway content. Blizzard haven’t given a crap about the lore in decades.

As for your OP, you can skip the weapon. It’s only use is transmogs these days. You can unlock different skins for them by doing various activities. Check your weapon on wowhead for a full list.

Personally I’d blitz through legion and BfA and go back to unlock the allied races/transmog at 120.

The last remnant of Legion is allied races being tied to those old reps. If you don’t want those races, you can shortcut your way to 110 as quick as you’re able.

However iirc you can’t queue for Legion dungeons without doing at least one artifact weapon quest, which is a bit of a pita :frowning:

by the time you have plotted all the avoidance of boring content you could have done it! although I agree that pet battles might be avoided
