Just wondering now that we have the built in m+ score is there any benefit to having the rio addon or can I just delete it now? And what are others doing, keeping it or not bothering?
never installed it so I don’t care now
Not sure, I’ve disabled it for now. Seems like RIO has updated the score to match the M+ scoring system, so there’s no difference there. I’m pretty sure that RIO will still continue to exist, filling the organized teams+statistics niche. I haven’t seen any updates on it though.
They made their score identical to the in-game score, so if you just want to see the number next to the player, you don’t need the addon. However it will still tell you a lot more about players, like their completed dungeons and at which level, or the easy in-game way to copy a link to their profile on the website. If that’s something that interests you, then it’s worth keeping around.
I’ll be keeping it because the number alone tells me very little about the player, especially now that the score is split between Fortified and Tyrannical.
If all you care about the score, you don’t need the addon. However, if you do that, you’re not using it well, to be honest.
The addon gives you more context, like their raid progress, their main’s score, the role they earned the score in, and so on. All of those are valuable information, so I’d keep the addon, it compliments the built-in system nicely.
