In phase 2 we are basically playing wotlk.
There are simply too many runes and too many straight out of wotlk, yet we are only in phase 2. I can only hope there wont be more runes in phase 3 and 4.
Don’t make it season of retail like all the sod naysayers said you would.

The entire point of SoD was to put in abilities from future expansions into a classic setting.
Why are you even playing if you are against the very core of the gamemode?

To be fair when I saw the runes in p1 I knew we’d end up with a semi wrath rotation. I think they have a hard time coming up with truly new stuff for classes that have existed for almost 20 years, though to their credit tanking rogue/lock and healing mages is an exciting change.

Runes are never enough until I get a bladestorm rune. Keep 'em coming

We most likely arent getting the four (4) slots this phase; Head, Belt, Bracers, Boots. I feel it makes more sence to get two at level 40, another 2 at level 50.

The #nochanges crowd can play era. There’s a game mode for everyone:
Era: for those that don’t like changes at all
Wrath / progression: for those that want to experience previous expansions again (or for the first time)
SoD: for those that want to experience something somewhat new, but not really.
HC: streamer content
Retail: well it’s retail.

Fairly sure we’ll have 1 rune for each armor slot at level 60.
The point of the mode is to put future abilities into classic.
Like divine storm and crusader strike for Ret paladin.
Feels like Phase 2 is just passive effects tho
We’re getting those 4 and around 100 runes altogether ?just? this phase.
bro this going to be retail! they are doing this so you gonna start play retail. because people was complainen it was to much spells ect ect . so now they are training you to handle several spells. Yo can see how much they ar elistning to retail people on forum.
The runes are already too many and too crazy in phase 1. Part of the reason i decided not to play SOD.
Youre already playing Retail in phase 1. Its just gonna get even more ridiculous.

They are datamined, not all together confirmed for this specific phase only.
Blizzard said that not everything datamined will be available now, or guranteed in the future. So my guess was 2 of the slots will be in 25-40, based on the 3 we got at 1-25, and the rest at 50 and perhaps even 60.
I’d like to think that, but they did say the same thing last time just as a standard “this is a work in progress” and next 2 phases are 2.5 and 6 months away from now, it’s unlikely.
I can say for 100% certain that i rather play SoD retri than retail retri.
So much more stuff needs clicking on retail.
