only reason in my mental state i would join the army right now is to be posted on the front line under conflict asap.
so probably for the better i dont sign upā¦
i mean i am generally fine overall but there is always that darkness which lingers in the back of my mind you know :Pā¦ its hard to budge it after so long under its spell.
EDIT: i usually strap 15kilo to me for all bodyweight workoutsā¦
rep range is 20x2 twice a day
i do not squatā¦
and i do not deadlift as i do not have the room for it in my house lol ā¦
i do bench
generally i go lower weights more reps though.
i find i get a more athetic build that way rather than a tank build
Not a good reason. Actually in Sweden if you state that as your reason to join, they will say good bye
But still, the training I think you would enjoy so worth a shot
EDIT: I hope you read what I edited out. Doesnāt belong on these forums.
Even less so than the rest

i saw it all :).
i dont think i would be let into the army personally reason is my mental stateā¦ i am more likely to do more damage to myself than the target atm lolā¦
you are not wrong though i would destroy the training part.
iāve tried doing all the us army training qualifications and UK ones ā¦ i passed them all without issue from home.

You canāt control how your body will look when you gain mass
Either you grow a lot or less. But it is kinda set in stone already.
Only thing you can control is maybe if your legs are enormous and rest is smaller in proportion, than glhf
Worst is the other way around. Seen so many chicken legged ākidsā.
All about the upper body. So wrong
Strong legs, strong back and then come the rest. But to each their own, we donāt ridicule anyone at the gym.
So yeah, some build muscle better at lower reps and others (I would say most) grow best at higher reps
It would be fun though, if I as a 16 year old (when I began) if I would see pics of my future self 21 years later
EDIT: Sounds good. But you should do some deadlifts and squats, it will help with your overall strength.
If/when your schedule allows it, join a 24/7 gym, they have amazing hours and theyāre cheap.

yea my legs need a bit of work tbhā¦ my lower legs are solid my caffs are massive from running so much i have the caffs of godsā¦ but my upper legs i neglect somewhatā¦
my back is also solidā¦ oddly i think years sitting gaming helped there with the foundationsā¦ or i might just be blessed with a strong back who knows.
but my back is why i can lift so much for my weight,
i also have unusually large shoulderā¦ that also helps.
i can remember going to the town gym when i was 12ā¦ they had a competition on the rowing machine for longest distanceā¦ i actually won it at 12 years old
EDIT: i only have 1 pic of myself of that kind of age nowā¦ iāll try find it lol
nah cant find it consider urself lucky

Nice! Those rowing machines are no joke
Only thing Iāve ever won was a local gym competition when I was 17 or 18
I placed 1st in one of the big three (deadlift, squats and bench)
Other two I only placed 3rd.
Not gonna say which one I won. But it was fun.
Winners got stuff like free protein powder, or gym discount and a piece of paper as proof! (mine is gone.)
And also a little bit more respect at the gym, which lasted about 1 week
Years go by so quickly.

lol gym rep never lasts long xDā¦
unless ur some kind of living legend like arnieā¦
but honestly that is not what the gym is aboutā¦
it is about focusing on urself who cares what others think lolā¦
i think rowing is my secret sport im built to do honestlyā¦
i only ever done it once in the ocean ā¦ and i had a race with my trainer from point a - point bā¦ i absolutely destroyed him and he was no pushover apparently was in qualifications for the olympic team ā¦
but i dont really live near anywhere where i can go rowing easilyā¦
so i never took it up.
im debating saving up and buying a lil beach hut somewhere and spend my life surfing and rowing.
and rock climbing
oh and swimming ofcā¦ best cardio in the world

That would work yeah!
I live maybe 6 min walk from the beach, itās nice, but not when it gets too crowded. There are only that many humans clown can handle at once.
Thatās the only reason I love summer and those heat waves, perfect for swimming.
Rest of the time, clown wants it a bit chilly or snowstorm works too
