Makes me think of Rivendell again.
Quick google hints at that Tolkien’s inspiration for Rivendell came from a real place called ‘Lauterbrunnen’ somewhere in SWITZERLAND (woohoo Starney!)
I guess the movie creators went with that as well. Just guessing

Nice! I prefer abandoned homes though. Italy is full of abandoned villas and mansions, often still with furniture inside.

When i was kid i loved goin in these villas. Good times. A friend of mine broke his arm fallin from a dangerous floor.

we had to make do with abandoned shopping markets, and cotton mills… and warehouses…
no villas in this town lol no one is rich enough.
