I once made a popcorn that was set on a plastic plate by accident. That was like 10 years ago.
It melted as it was. Thank god nothing caught fire! 
The two recipes I can make are fairly easy actually, but not sure if the quality of reagents you two can get could get you roughly the same result 
Or a spaghetti too is easy, because for pasta you only need some boiled water with oil and salt, and for the sauce, fry the meat in oil then add the sauce and cook them together for 10 mins.

I find a simple slow cooker is great and really easy to use. Mine has settings low, high, keep warm and off. That is it !
Chuck some in some diced beef, packet sauce mix, bit of water and vegetables of choice, 5-8 hours later, voila ! nice casserole or stew. (low = 8 hours, high = 5 hours)
(Carrots and potatoes need to be diced small to cook through)
I can be a lazy cook sometimes and prefer cooking where I don’t have to stand over the stove for ages. Back to browsing the internet…

It’s fun when you do extravagant freestyle weekend cooking but regular boring workdays don’t have enough time in them so it’s just fast, simple dishes with enough nutrients to stay alive.

these are called “orecchiette” “little ears” and are typical from puglia (souther italy).
