Do not remove ALL rank 4 essences in Pre-patch!

Apparently blizzard changed their mind on the rank 4 essences and the Phenominal Cosmic Power achievement (I didn’t know that). I only needed a few more from grinding (easy ones). But now they’re not even obtainable in pre patch. Big joke.

First they all were going away in pre patch, then it was going away in shadowlands launch and now they changed their mind again to make it go away in pre patch.

Who is making all these stupid decision at Blizzard? Some one really needs to step down.
Why in the hell are we not able to farm rank 4 essences during pre patch? We still have our hearth of Azeroth with all the essences (except the rank 4). Makes no sense in the lore to remove ALL of the rank 4 essences from the game in pre patch. Only the ones locked behind an achievement should be the ONLY one that we can’t get (like all 15 M+, 2400 rating in pvp, Hertz locker etc).

We had plenty of time to complete those achievements before pre patch, however, the other ones, like the one from the paragons chest, are all RNG based, and, if you are unlucky, you will not get them before pre patch. Therefor these kind of essences should still be able to obtain in pre patch, as the content is still active AND current.

Also there is plenty of post from just a month ago from gms saying that conflict and strife essence and vision of perfect etc will be removed in pre patch, but that the one from paragon chest and Azshara will be removed once shadowlands is live.

Also, blizzards own post from the devs says all rank 4 essences will be unobtainable once shadowlands strikes. Which should be when shadowlands is live? As in the other context it is stated it is goin away in pre patch, like the pvp season for example.

Get it right, stop doing stupid decisions and change your mind over and over again. You mess up your community. This is an achievement that requires a lot of time. I now have all of them that was stated was going away in pre patch, but still miss the ones that was going away in shadowlands launch.

Should we need to really check blue posts every day because blizzard change their mind?

Many players are disappointed, so sort this out now. Don’t let us miss this achievement because we are locked behind RNG.

The post you are talking about is from july, which got alot of questions from the community because of Conflict and Strife / Vision of perfection becoming unobtainable, so they updated their information.

And finally, they added bad luck protection to the paragon essences to make sure you wouldnt miss out on them.

So, you missed out and Blizzard was very clear about it.
Its sad, and you miss a title now.
But thats what it is.

I can’t really agree with you.

They said " This is due to certain Rank 4 Essences no longer being available to earn after pre-patch (e.g. Vision of Perfection)."

By reading this, I am thinking that a few rank 4 essences will not be available once pre patch come. So the achievement will unobtainable then (IF you dont have the essences that are going away (as named “certain”, in their post).

The only time they mentioned that they ALL were going away in pre-patch was their stupid patchnote. It was released 8th of october, so it does not really impress me, sorry.

What’s the reason taking away ALL rank 4 essences, while the content is still active? We still have our neck, we still have our essences?

You can disagree all you want.
But their August 18th post literally says so.

The bold part is the important part, the fact you choose to read: certain essences going away, etc isnt my mistake.
Its literally in their blue post of August 18th 2020.

Literally leaves no room for changing the meaning of the post as the wording literally is:

The achievement will no longer be obtainable when prepatch goes live.

It was mentioned 18th of August 2020 and october 8th. (and at some Q&A aswell, if i remember correctly)
The fact it doesnt impress doesnt really mean anything to me.

You simply missed out on your achievement.
I feel for you, but then again there was clear communication on the matter.

And if you google the actual blue post, which isnt all that hard, you will find many people who tried to ‘‘change’’ the prepatch to SL release, to be able to gather the essences which arent time critical like you mentioned.

Your fault for not getting it before it was gone OP. Don’t blame anyone but yourself.
