Do something about leavers!

This single thing is what is ruining my game.

I don’t have much time to play , meaning that when I play I want to get the most out of my game time.

I need to do at least one m+ +16 each week. (for the Concentrated Primal Focus)
Sometimes it takes 30 minutes.
However whenever we get a group going, someone leaves within the first 5 minutes leaving the rest of us with no way to complete. the key holder will get his key depleted to a +15 key ( which doesn’t award the Concentrated Primal focus)
Now I have to look for a new group for around 30 minutes, and hope noone leaves that group…

We need to invoke some punishments to people who leave the group as the first person.

  • give them a 30 minute ban from M+ the first time, 1 hour the second, 2 hours the 3rd etc.
    or
  • Don’t give them loot in their weekly vault

Leaving after the timer has run out is fine, no punishment should be put on there.

Do the keyholder really need to get his key reduced in level?

This is really frustrating and wasting my sparse game time.

You’re going to get flamed by them but you’re right

You will then have people afk instead of just leaving. Resulting in pretty much the same. They will hold you hostage til the key depletes and if you leave before you will be the one punished instead. Good job, you played yourself.

Then why are you pugging?

I think there’s a diff between total amount of time spent and when the time is being spent. Lots of people don’t have time for a schedule in a video game, but total amount of hours played per week are still not low necessarily

I don’t schedule my play time, I play whenever I feel like it. I however don’t play WoW when I only have a limited amount of time to play, then I play other games.

Well, I just do word quests and write in forums

lol no. If they want to leave, they can leave, no one keeps them hostage. But they will face a punishment. It’s a risk they have to assume everytime they pug, the same as with the key holder, which takes the risk everytime they list up the group the key is gonna get depleted. And if they will afk or something, you already have the system in place in random dungeons. Initiate vote to kick X, if the vote passes, X gets kicked and gets punishment, and the rest are free to end the dungeon or leave without getting punishment (key still depletes). The thing is, OP, from what I saw this last couple of days, pugging is really rough, at the point where is not even really worth it if you dont wanna push your key, get it to an acceptable level (16-17), and then every week spend some hours in queue to grab a good group.

lolwhat?

So in 10 weeks you can make one piece of gear.

What a weak troll.

Maybe try doing like 12 if +16 is to hard for you and people leave your groups ? Just a suggestion worth considering

Read what i said again. I said THEY (as in the original leavers that the op want to punish with the system) are going to hold YOU hostage. If they leave first they will get punished so they will simply go afk and wait it til the key depletes so they dont get punished and if you decide to leave before them because of them going afk you will be the one that ends up being punished by his suggested system.

No they dont. They will afk til the timer expires.

Votekicks dont exist in M+ and will never be implented for it. A: It can be abused and B: You cant refil your grp like you can do in regular dungeons. But the main issue is the abuse part. Combined with Blizzards mindset that its your own business with what kind of people you fill your grp this will never be implemented.

Do you ever have anything positive to say about anyone or just come here to be toxic?

Ik the vote system doesnt exist, but should be implemented. Can it be abused? For sure it will, but i don’t see in which purpose other than troll your own key. And I didn’t mentioned anything about refilling groups. Vote is passed, key is done, keep the remaining players if you want, if not, whatever. And, as I see people are still going this avenue of ‘You make the group, you are responsible’. It’s not working like that. No one stays and does a background check on everysingle player that joins the queue, or is in a group that gets invited to. This is mental. People are responsible for their own actions. And they should get treated accordingly.

That would be griefing and bannable.

Did you read what the person said? It’s an absolute lie but you call me out.

Get over yourself febsterrrrr

Also, didn’t you quit on one of your other many alts shokmedaddy? If so, walk away?

Do something about stayers!

Play with friends, problem solved, you’re very welcome.

Another post where OP is not telling us the whole truth behind his anger right now…
Remember this kids
it’s always Garbanzo players screaming about how game is unfair to them

We know the obvious solutions get a guild, community or do your own key sometimes we pug and yes there are many leavers.

I don’t know if blizz got a mechanic to see who is the leaver from a key. And from there why he leave? His pizza came? He is bored and fake dc? The group had 29735250982 deaths on first 2 trash groups? How blizz can separate them and punish the “bad” leaver?

I don’t know how they can do it. Pug life have this. We all have been there got out keys depletes in 5 minutes into a run, we have leave cause “reasons” , we wait 3 hours to find a key even in high ratings but if someone chose pug life this is what we got.

Just introduce matchmaking for M+ already with a decent ilvl/score requirements for each level, for god sake. At least for until 15+. Then semi-casuals will do their KSM with it, tryhards will go with custom groups higher. And MM have leave penalty votekick system and so on. We are in 2023 ffs, we don’t need to have only orthodox manually created groups.
