Do something cool with Grim Batol

So far I know Grim Batol where gonna be in Vanilla wow but was added way later, dont remember if it was cata or MoP?

Anyway, it would be a cool addition to have a totally reworked dungeon/raid there with the theme of classic so not the one we have in retail.

It would be cool to be able to explore the lore what happened there and maybe the planned “mutant dark iron dwarfs” could come to life in some ways?

It would acually be cool to open this area up at lvl 60, introducing a whole new dungeon/raid never seen before, right now with BFD and Gnomeregan its feels lazy due to we have already been in there, its nothing new more then the bosses ofc.

Could also introducing a longer rune quests that leads all the classes inside of Grim Batol, a little like lvl 50 class quests did with ST.

I understand its hard to understand some things sometimes, due to me posting this on the SoD forum and also what I wrote in my thread here you can simple even easier understand what gamemode I mean.

But hey! Go troll somewhere else

I think a good idea for grim batol is to be a draconic dungeon.

You are allowed to use drakes to battle, and in the end lf the day… Surprise! Everything done is by a old god avatar.

That would be amazing!!

Thats some great ideas!

Vote for Grim Bartol as SoD P3 Raid

Arent there some “dungeon entrances” that are kept behind gates throughout vanilla world?

Like the one in SW, or the one south in Loch Modan i think (not completely sure on the last one)

Think there is one in Winterspring too, southern part where all the demons are.

I am extremely curious on those, would be fun to see their original intent with those.

So much potential.

Too late for that now sadly. But hopefully later on we could get some cool stuff there!

Yes there is some!

The one in SW was prob the planned housing they had planned, but also going the route some pservers done we could get another instance like “stockade”. The thing in Loch modan idk what you are refering too, the gate to Searing gourge?

Long time I was there so dont remember that, could be to get into Mount hyjal “dungeon/raid” ?

Agreed!!

Yeah, that could be it. Been awhile since i actually went there.

I hope they can follow up on some of the things around the world that was open later on/something they just scrapped overall, there is alot of totally new content we havent seen they could add, I hope they do have the time to do something about it!

Yeah, i hope they will bring something new if im honest.

Not just “reworked” already seen content.

It would be cool but the devs do not possess the resourses to produce actual new content

If you analyse what we’ve had so far then you’ll realise that they have been essentially slightly tweaking already existing assets and adding low-effort changes. Most of what they have done is literally doable by a small modmaker team

They do have the tools to make something new, the problem is time.

Time-wise they are in the same conditions as all the other WoW devs since 2004, who have been developing future phases/expansions while the current phase/expansion was ongoing.

They are simply too few and also underfunded because classic is not as profitable as retail

Dont think its the same conditions at all acually, when devs work on an expansion they know how the story goes and already planned the structure for everything and when the beta comes out, alot of stuff is already there but needs tuning and arent the phases for retail alot longer then just a few months? Last I checked in was in shadowlands and it seems if I recall right it was almost a year before they got an update?

Here you are completly wrong, classic brings in alot of money due to some only playing classic and are paying their sub due to it.

Sure you have the store there but WOTLK classic and all other classic version are not doing as bad as you make it sound :stuck_out_tongue:

You have no idea how humongous the profit from retail is

60$ store mounts, 60$ lvl 70 character boosts, store pets/transmog sets, 90$ expansion pre-purchases, WoW tokens, constant race/faction/server swaps - that’s what comprises 95%+ of money

None of the above is present in SoD. Classic is in demand by default and many people are willing to play it as it is. It is not worth to commit any significant resourse to a risky development of new content that would yield no considerable increase in revenues, especially if the baseline game is already profitable

sounds goooood

SoD Devs: Omg ! What a gr8 idea ! “Checks SoD budget”
SoD Devs: Ok, so if it costs more than a cheeseburger and small fries (At McDonalds), then that will be a no.

Before we go into this discussion, can you please link any data for this?

Oh come on, do not pull the “back up with data” card. The most idiotic thing to demand on forums. There’s 0 publicity about the game and everyone knows it.

Noone will ever be able to provide any data for almost anything apart from those scraps that we can datamine with addons

People are left with common sense, common knowledge and deduction here. If you want a proof that the sky is blue, noone will give it to you.
