Do the male Worgen shoulderpads stay like this now? That would be a shame

Soo… I just returned to WoW after a long break and noticed that my character looks different.

Then I looked at different sets ingame and on wowhead, what just happened? They have definitely become smaller and float more above the shoulders as well.

I mean, i understand that some shoulders were really big, but this doesn’t seem like the best solution for that, looks really terrible on some items.

Here are some examples.

However, i couldn’t find any information about these changes either, is it just a similar bug to the one the Orcs had back in the day? I can not be the only one who is annoyed by this?

Yeah the shoulders needed fixing and that… was not the way. It looks awful now.

Thanks for posting the Images!
I saw that this “fix” has been around since January… it came with patch 10.0.5 apparently. I really hope this doesn’t stay, ruins the fun when looking around for transmogs.

Do you know if it is the same with female worgen?

Yes, i had looked at that too, the shoulders of the female Worgen look the same as always.
Nothing weird as far as I can tell.

Ugh, it’s like when they “fixed” weapons for female belfs. Just ridiculously small to ridiculously big! Who sees this and thinks it works?!

I remember that, terrible for female Bloodelfs…
These changes can completely destroy the aesthetics of a character you’ve grown accustomed to over many hours of gameplay.

So i keep hoping that it’s just a bug and Blizzard hasn’t noticed it yet or will fix it soon…

I wish they’d reduce shoulder armour sizes on female Worgen. It’s impossible to find any shoulder pads that actually sit on top of the shoulders instead of floating next to them.
There’s no winning with female Worgen, take shoulder armour off - look like a wet poodle. Leave it on - have 2 Gnome houses floating next to your player model with the actual scrawny shoulder clearly visible.

(What’s left of) QA don’t visit forums.

Go in game and submit a bug. The more bug reports the more likely they will fix it.

I have and i hope you are right, after all this bug seems to have been around for 3 months now.

I don’t think that’s a bug. I think it’s fully intentional.

As you can undoubtedly see from my transmog, I think most shoulderpads in WoW look some level of ridiculous. They’re often over-designed and they float. Oh, and they’re bigger than my head. I mean… what?

I honestly think it’s an improvement, but I don’t question you. I don’t play a male Worgen and I think you who do deserve to keep your characters the way you like them.

Personally, I prefer smaller shoulder pads. I think Draenei and Blood Elves are perfect in that the shoulder pads are scaled down from their original in relation to their respective body size. So I also do prefer the newer size on the Worgen. Edit: I would, however, like it if they brought the model slightly in so they wouldn’t float so obviously

That being said, I also do not play Worgen. I would like female Worgen to receive heavily scaled down shoulder pads, but I am confident that people who play male Worgen would rather keep the comically large shoulders, kind of like people who play Orcs (for whatever weird reason) wanted their shoulder flight strips back when they got shrunk down by a bug years ago.

If male worgen got their hands on the orc spinal treatment they could be a damn cool race. Well they are pretty cool as it is but a straight backed worgen would be slightly cooler:P

You’re both not entirely wrong, there is definitely a problem in terms of shoulder size.
I think blood elf shoulders are actually slightly larger in relation to their body size than worgen shoulders are in relation to their body size (right now)… but that can only seem that way because their shoulders float so damn high in the air.

But as it is for blood elves, it fits pretty well.
If you compare the sets I posted between worgen and blood elf, it’s as clear as day and night where the problem is right now.

There is definitely a problem with the sizes of the shoulders for Worgen, as can be clearly seen in the following two examples.

For me, who has been playing Worgen since they came out, the current change is unfortunately absurd. Something smaller would be absolutely fine and even necessary, but not like this.
