Do they ever learn?

I mean Bliz, cmon. Every raid the same problem. Nymue boss, beams you need to avoid. Make it thick, red and clearly visible? Nah, let’s make make it thin and green on green background. So sick of that.

I’m really fed up with aesthetic choices for mechanics. It’s the same with Everbloom, the triple boss, green on green. WHY!

Stop making the effects of abilities the same colour scheme as the theme of the dungeon or raid.

Sanguine in DHT is always such a delight too, especially under water!

BRH the mobs before the last boss aoe and if it’s on the bear skin rug you can’t see it lol. Ofc im used to this mechanic from playing UHdk with defile aswell as BDK, hahahaaaaa!!!

I dont see a problem with the colour scheme if u arent colour blind ofc. If u are yes its a problem.
The line are clearly visible tho.

Everbloom trio boss i think u mean the poison charge if u dont see that u are entirely blind. Sanguine in dht yes in the water its bad.

2nd boss in Everbloom need to change color on the ground. You cant see difference so easy. It is so dumb!

Good for you but not everyone has the same degree of eyesight or ability to distinguish colour. You don’t need to have some manner of medically defined sight condition to have issues seeing Nymue’s mechanics. Merely having a small weakness somewhere in your sight can be enough for it to be an issue for someone.

Then there’s general observational skills. Some people are naturally better than others. I imagine newer players who don’t have a trained eye would have a much harder time seeing the mechanics.

The difficulty in mechanics should be about understanding and exectution. Not a person’s ability to see very subtle differences in colour because that’s not a gaming skill. That’s an artistic skill.

When the developers try to play the game they might fix it.

Never had a visual problem on my side, even Sark swirles were ok for me. But for some reason I can’t clearly see those beams by peripheral vision while actively looking to what bush run next and what lines to cross for it. Don’t know, if it’s eye aging or some personal issues, but many guild mates have this problem too. So it definitely could be much more visible, since it’s very important mechanic.

If Blizzard insist on creating problematic effects then they should invest into a high visibility mode we can toggle. All swirlies turn into defined circles, use high contrast colors etc.

Yes they are visible, but the color choice is still crap, and overall Blizzard texturing was always questionable and inconsistent.

There are ton of aoes that have undefined borders while others have a thick line that clearly define the smash. There are ton of clipping problem and a lot of texture problem.

I get that you wanted to feel good about yourself, but come on.

Been watching a friend play some FF14 lately and the difference in visual clarity is absolutely insane. I’ve never played it yet I could tell where she’s supposed to go, what to do and what to avoid with relative confidence, and with no addons. Meanwhile in WoW it feels like you sometimes need an addon to yell at you when you’re standing in something because it’s just so damn hard to see on the floor that’s just a slightly different shade of the ability you’re standing in. And don’t even get me started on ground effects without clearly defined edges.

Blizzard for some reason keep choosing to compromise playability for the sake of artistic consistency when it should be the other way around.

Rugs, stairs, any kind of incline etc, all lethal for hiding effects on the floor!!!
