Do you consider people here friendlier overall?

In the game itself - yes and no, depends on the people, the activity hours and the situation. Trade chat is dead or full of spam ads 92% of the time.
On the AD forum - no, it’s a god-forsaken pit of despair.

For me it kinda depends.

For the most part I think the AD players are far more (at least for the good part) mature compared to players on other servers. I’ve mostly noticed when I would like to discuss for example the expansion or payment system of World of Warcraft, I would had an actual adult discussion with people just responding that even though they didn’t agree they still analysed my argument well to give a proper response. Compare that to other servers and often than not people will straight up respond “Ur talking s**t lol” or other easy brain dead insults to things they don’t agree with.

At the other side though, AD can be a boiling pot for overheating drama’s and arguments. Sometimes going about sometimes small such as people roleplaying in a way they don’t like, or straight up assault to someone’s personality or actions upon the server.

Still, not comparing it to other servers which I would call nothing but toxic, Argent Dawn is still a collective of online individuals. A majority which are real cool and grown up, but also a small part who are just kinda off from reality and should really just get a healthier hobby if you ask me. And I’ve had more than a bunch of moments in which I thought “My dude, it’s time for you to touch some grass.”

Compared to previous servers I was on, yeah, I do.

At least the PVE problems can be rationalised with actual material woes, in the sense of tangibility (loot drama, RMT, exploiters, hackers etc) being put on the line, PvErs have way more sunk cost fallacy.

Here? You’d think there would be less drama with the community driven focus being theoretically the leading force.
Hahahaha.

Argent Dawn can produce more tabloid tier nonsense than all the other Full realms together. And over what?
Fragile egos, perceived slights and roleplayers obsessing about their image and illusion of control they have over their fellow roleplayers.

Has it gotten less over the years? Maybe, but that’s probably down to

Than anything fundamental in the population of the server.
I’ve said this for years, roleplayers are other roleplayers worst nightmare.

I actually don’t think most people on AD are friendlier than people on other realms.

I’ve noticed that, over the years, roleplayers on this realm have become extremely clique-ish, snobbish and exclusive. It wasn’t like that before.

So, we’re not friendlier, we’re just more eloquent about it when we shut people out.

It’s certainly noteworthy that people have gotten even worse at taking any kind of criticism about their RPing and character concepts.

As it has always been AD has gems, but sadly also alot of unpleasant people. Just gotta keep digging till you find the good souls and dont let the bad ones ruin it.

Playing on pvp and pve servers most of my past wow play time I got a happy surprise when I finally arrived on Argent Dawn. The most friendly wow server I’ve ever been on.

The difference between AD and other servers is that we don’t insult each other with petty slurs. We do it with everything else.
