Do you consider people here friendlier overall?

So I was wondering if any of you have experience with bigger realsm such as Silvermoon and if you’ve noticed that here people are more friendly, willing to help and the world feels more alive than the other realms? Of course I know toxicity exists everywhere, but I was just curious how most of you feel that people are here and how the world here feels to you.

I’m getting into RP slightly, mayby not big ‘appointed’ sessions yet but just the spontanous open world interaction is really fun being IC and makes everything so much more immersive and every encounter feel like you exist instead of just a ghost wandering by lol. But I was also interested how others experienced the community and the world here aside from the wonderous roleplaying part?

While starting zones tend to be more emptier than other servers, the social aspect is definitely more due to RP. Especially in main cities and event nights.

Though it’s harder to find OOC chats mainly as it’s a RP realm.

I tend to find people on AD more chill and friendly, compared to other realms I’ve been on.

Also unrelated to the thread, but I absolutely LOVE the name ‘Shockbeard’! It’s great!

Yes. Very much so compared to experiences of other servers.

Do you get to the cloud district very often?

Bad Nazeem BAD

Anyways, I guess that depends? Sometimes you just get lucky and meet the nicest bunch of people even if they’re from kazzak which doesn’t have the best reputation.

The only difference that you’d absolutely notice is people being way more social&more willing to start a chat overall. More often than not i’d have to initiate it outside of argent dawn to have anything going.

I used to be on Silvermoon as a hardcore player before I ever realized what Roleplay was or what roleplay servers were like. I complained to a friend that the game to me felt like there was no sense of community. No one talked out in the open . It was just …silent content. Zone out and jump around on your mount before someone accepted you into the next M+.

So one day a friend phased me into AD and i was blown away by just seeing people role-playing. Or having chats about random things out in the open . To even goldshire (the outside) and people just goofing around .
I transfered my character right away .

The difference to me was night and day. People seemed way more friendly and just that much more social.

dont worry, argent dawn is the same as any other pve server, you will find plenty of people talking about barbie, exams, school and whatever else is going on in the real world out in the open, especially in city hubs like stormwind, orgrimmar and valdrakken, goldshire is also a popular destination.

Oy vey

…for a certain kind of RPers…

Definitely, it was one of the reasons why I transfered to AD - how the people behaved and also because it feels more like world of Warcraft to me. Love it on AD.
EXCEPT GOLDSHIRE DO NOT GO TO GOLDSHIRE DURING PEAK HOURS I BEG YOU

There was a time, like 10 years ago i would consider Argent Dawn not a very friendly place.
It was very bad i consider to move away from it entirely but as time passed on, things changed for the better.

Now these day its indeed much better place, there is still but very few bad apples to encounter. as the rest of the comment i can say now its very possetive bout it.

I’m nice until you say a single thing I don’t agree with.

AD is such a friendly place that the majority of RPers decided to quit and do better things with their subscription

AD is just another pve realm unless you like sitting around talking rubbish in one of the many bars in stormwind

It’s an RP realm. Says so in big letters when I log in :nail_care:

Think I’ll go against the grain here and say AD is no friendlier than any other server, maybe even worse so.

To say there is a history of hatred on this server would be an understatement. At least in PvE it’s just some gamer words and you never see them again.

On the surface, it looks like that, but I can say right now that things get much much worse right under the crust of even that. Hell, if you want an example of a name that even Blizzard lowkey sponsored, check out what happened to Method from Tarren Mill.

We take Argent Dawn for granted.

Yes, there’s a few long-standing grudges here and there from people taking things too seriously, but such a thing doesn’t happen in other servers not because of a lack of malice, but because actual problems happen so often that there is no time for someone to go ‘oh hey remember when kicked me from the guild six years ago? yeah he’s an idiot’.

Argent Dawn might have some people taking roleplay too seriously hitting one another with verbal foam noodles and passive-aggressiveness for years, and even the once-a-year actual serious situation, but at least Argent Dawn isn’t the toxic landmine that is trying to find the right guild on a server like Kazzak, where AD’s worst ocurrence that year is tuesday for them.

Server used to suck a lot in some ways but it’s improved and is much nicer in recent. I’d call it friendly.

I’ve clearly missed out on some quality entertainment.
