Do you find balance fun?

Can someone explain what do you find fun about current balance druid ? Am i doing something wrong ?
Because wrath feels like its literally flying nothing.
Lunar strike looks kinda cool but again you dont feel it because it has same damage as in Wotlk when people had 30k hp
Dots are just dots no interaction with anything(nothing wrong with that when you are pure dot class but balance is not) but they used to make starsurge instant and free which was fun
Starfall coolest spell ever which do pathetic damage and is useless
and finally starsurge which looks just bad imo its too small and travel too fast if we compare it with another example of spenders like chaos bolt, earth shock etc
it just dont feel good to press starsurge .
Dont get me wrong every other aspect of druid is fun. I dont hate spec but i feel it could feel better to play.
What is your opinion on this ? Do you have fun with balance ? if yes tell my why what is your favorite thing about that spec ?

I like Balance. I think it’s a matter of playstyle - I used to play mage a lot and was never really happy with the flow, just waiting for procs to kick in and trying hard not to die… Compared to that Balance is easy, you can heal yourself or others if needed, it’s much faster, more mobile, looks good… I can see how it could get boring in raids but then again, that’s probably a danger for every spec bc of the repetitiveness of the boss fights. It really comes down to personal preference. What I’d recommend tho, based on my own experience, is not to stick with a class/spec you are not happy with. E.g. if you want to play a caster, check out Elem Shamman or Warlock or SP, there are so many variations, maybe you’ll like one of them more. E.g. in my opinion Elem Shaman is a better mage gameplay than the actual Mage class… /shrug Explore your options

Thats funny because thats exactly how bfa balance gameplay is, you’re always waiting for a celestial alignment proc though either pulsar or vision.

Wrath and lunar strike are only there as ap gen for starsurge outside of celestial alignment and during celestial alignment theyre used for ap gen as well as for streaking stars.

Balance druid gameplay revolves around getting as much celestial alignment uptime as possible through vision of perfection major and arcanic pulsar azerite trait because around 30% of our damage is streaking stars which can only happen during celestial alignment.

Iits a nice afk dps

I throw ball

Then i throw bigger ball

Although i main druid for the sexi healer & tank specs

I’ve tried Balance on PTR and it seems a little bit more complex than it is now in BfA. Maybe that will make a difference for you OP. I don’t have enough experience with Balance to compare the two for meaningful insights.

I’m still not sure what I’m gonna main in SL, sounds like hybrid classes with several roles will be hit hard with the Covenant system restrictions… -.- Might as well stick to Hunter, nice and easy, no headache, just one DPS spec all I have to worry about is where to tame the coolest pet :dog2:

Well, i am not maining moonkin as it stands now. It feels like a mess, Starfall and Starfire cleave is just wrong. You want to boost starfire for cleave, but you cant use starfall if you do, and vise versa.

This feels really really bad…

And again…Wrath and Starfire is far too weak, feels bad. I really HATE how our casted spells are so weak.

Above all, there are no procs or something to react to. If shooting stars generate more AP that would be nice, 4-8 non crit and 8-14~ crit. With a limit to how often shooting stars proc, same to what they did in 5.4 where.

Balance druid NEEDS PROCS

  • Guardian druid as dps is more fun than moonkin with moonfire procs, not even kidding. Just SOME proc to react to…
  • We are likely going see a new beta build this upcoming week.
  • Moonkin community is close to silent on the forum, i wonder if its because most people are happy with it, or if they already plan to reroll?
