Do you guys feel like Blizzard is overcharging and abusing Microtransactions lately?

Hey everyone,

This is genuine questions, as much as i like this game and everything. I have feeling like i cant keep up with those store mounts, blizzard is lately spamming them for limited time, making ez cash then removing them, also psychology behind that makes people want to get em, because they come now, and wont come later. + if we add subscration on top of that its just to to much.

What do you guys think?

Blizzards pricing is evidence that they dont really care about their players as much as a quick buck.

People keep buying it and the brutosaur was enough evidence for them that can do what they want and still make money with minimum effort.

You don’t have to

I think we’ve had enough of these pointless threads, either buy what they sell or simply ignore it. Blizzard isn’t forcing anyone.

Apart from the bear (which I don’t need, because I was once gifted the yak) and the sha mounts, they haven’t really made anything I like. And since I’m not even willing to pay for those things that I do like, I don’t have a problem with this stuff personally.

aham, so we’we had plenty of pointless thread, but you wont call “blizzard” on those plenty of micro transactions. Sorry buddy i am allowed to say my opinion.
No one is forcing anyone to buy sure. but if you wanna be some sort of collectionar. Then i guess it starts to matter to you.

I’m surprised at the frequency of things being put out in the shop, I guess we have Microsoft to thank.

I have no issue with new things in the shop, in fact I look forward to it. I don’t buy everything though and yes the latest mount pack is a bit greedy. Hopefully not enough people buy it for them to do it again but can I say I wouldn’t buy it if I actually liked the mounts? No.

No, not compared to other games, if you dont like it, dont buy it. Blizzard is a company you know? They are made to make money, but i imagine if you ran a business you would make everything free?

It is quite jarring how much they’ve been releasing and the general price of it.
But at the end of the day, you don’t need any of it. So I view it as a lesson in restraint.

Not compared to normally.

Which means they are absolutely overcharging and abusing microtransactions lately.

Still better than having a battle pass.

It seems to me as if they are losing a lot of players again with TWW and they now want to compensate for this with the shop.
Instead of making the game better they just put stuff in the shop, seems easier and working. :man_shrugging:

But hey i would probably do the same if i had a playerbase like this that likes to being milked.

I wouldn’t mind Blizzard spamming shop offers if the game was free and it required in-game purchases to survive, which is not the case.

The biggest question

What is more important for you Blizzard money or make game better?

Being collector or completionist is worst thing for an individual playing mmos.
I cant comment on pricing since I dont buy anything.

… They haven’t raised the price of subscription for gods know how long.

Actually you do have to buy stuff. I don’t know anyone who has played wow for long time and never bought anything except game time.

Yeah.
basically yes.

I don’t look at the store, I ignore it completely and always have.

I don’t think they’re overdoing it as all they do is some cosmetics that don’t really matter all that much.
A store mount travels at the same speed as every other mount I own. I recently got the 300 mounts achievement and I’ve never bought a store mount. I’ve never paid more than a few thousand gold for a mount (except for th eTundra Mamoth for mobile repairs and selling junk).

A mount would have to be amazingly special for me to even consider forking out any real money for one. I can’t imagine how special it would have to be as I doubt that level of specialness exists.

was gonna try the new patch, checked shop and saw all those bundles. Got disgusted and quit the game and went back to classic for the time being, thats what i think of it
