Do you have your Horde and Alliance characters on different realms?

So I decided to transfer my main from RU to EN server. I have a Horde on Kazzak, but my main is Alliance. Should I choose Alliance populated server, like Silvermoon, or the same realm as my Horde (Kazzak)? I can’t trade between my Alliance and Horde character anyways, so I there’s no point in choosing Kazzak, or I don’t know something?

I keep them divided. I see no upside to making an Alliance character on a Horde dominated server. Not that server balance really means that much these days, but it’s still the way I operate.

Same realm [my realm is pretty 1:1’ish]. My Alliance character is just purely an alt that strictly exists to collect things on Alliance side, so if it ever needs money I can just send money over from Horde side via the AH.

i have all my characters on the same server.

My horde chars are on Draenor, my alliance chars are in Silvermoon. Mostly had to do with the limit of chars we could have on 1 realm but also i like crowded realms.

I tried to have them on the same server but they always kept brawling on my selection screen so I had to seperate them.

I have one horde I am leveling, a nightborne. I need it to get allied race completion then done. But the horde is on the same realm as half of my alliance characters.

Alliance on Kul Tiras, the few horde I have on Lightbringer.

I play horde ,and all characters are on Kazzak. Recently i leveled one druid on Alliance side ,realm Sylvanas

I find it funny that one of largest Alliance servers is named after Horde warchief  :joy:

I keep my alliance and horde characters on separate realms. This is mainly because if some realms have issues I can just switch to a realm that’s behaving better and still keep doing my thing, that and I’d feel kinda weird playing the opposite faction on a server that was dominated by one or the other, even though the server merges kinda render that pointless.

I had an Alliance monk on Kazzak for a while, and I actually got a couple whispers about it!

This for me, I keep alliance on Magtheridon and horde is Draenor. We tend to always see logging issues on Draenor on launch of a new expansion and if that happens, I can switch to the less busy realm and still play

I play on two servers and it’s entirely random which toons are on which server.

I find it sus that silver moon, high elf city, attracted alliance from vanilla. Goes to show high elves are indeed a popular request for alliance

In my UK account I used to have:

  • BE Paladin lv 120: Kul-Tyras
  • Human Warrior lv 120: Stormrage

In this account I have:

  • 10 Horde characters in Kul-Tyras
  • 1 Nigh Elf Druid level 20 now 10 which I have been trying to level up since 2005-2006.

I used to have a NE Hunter level 25-30 in Kul-Tyras. But I deleted her alongside a Human Paladin level 19 a couple of years ago in order to open more room for more Horde characters.

Back than there was a advantage on having the characters from both factions in the same server.
Because there was no layers, it meant if they died you could track them, because their corpse was on the same place.

I remember being stuck on a cave in StV because of a quest.
I got in there, but getting out was a different story, my NE Hunter kept getting killed by the mobs that kept respawning faster than she could kill them in order to clear the way and get out.

I logged in my level 50 Orc Warrior, went there cleared the way, found her corpse logged off where she was, than when logging back she managed to escape, because the mobs were one shoted by my Orc Warrior, they took longer to respawn.
But that was in Vanilla period, the game was much different than today.

Outside this I don’t see any advantage playing both character Alliance/Horde on the same server.
They can’t exchange mails, that means you can’t send them gear, gold you might have.

Imagine having 3 500 000g in one faction and 1 500 000 on the other.
Considering you would need 5 000 000g for you Brutosaur mount, what are you going to do ?
You would have to ask a friend to help you with the transaction.
That’s why I only play one faction.

Cheers.

My mate also Russian told me she can’t because the Russian wow is a different version from the Eu one :o

Depends.
If you’re planning to get guild on your Alliance character I’d strongly recommend to not choose Kazzak.
Kazzak is one of the major Horde realms; you’ll have a hard time looking for a mid-competitive guild or a guild at all.
For convenience you mostly want to get a even server …although competitive, or at least very active, servers are faction dominated.

For your Alliance I’d recommend going Silvermoon without a doubt.

Personally I have my Alliance characters on different servers (Argent Dawn and Earthen Ring); my Horde character, main and active/inactive alts, on Tarren Mill and Kazzak.

No

Have 12 or so on Kilrogg Alliance since TBC, started to reroll on Silvermoon, then now Horde on Draenor
