I only just figured this out, but if you right click a friend on the main launcher you can view all of their friends…
People can opt out of this but I don’t mind it so much.
I don’t mind it because I don’t have any friends.

It’s not suggest friends of friends… I have that turned off.
I can see every single friend my friends have.

You are. You can actually turn Off to be seen by others through Friends Friend list.

Kinda don’t care , they are not getting something like my phone number by looking my friends list lol. Also you can customize it as i believe.

At somepoint I had my friends list hidden, but I’ve opened it since

I don’t mind at all. If someone has an issue with who I’m friends with it is their problem, not mine.
It doesn’t bother me unduly to be honest
