I like both, the Comic is typical Ennis at his edgelordiest besides Crossed, the TV Show a little less which sometimes can be a good thing imho, and there are some really good Actors in it, I think Anthony Starr is perfect as Homelander.
Oh yeah there are some great actors in the boys. You already mentioned Antony Star, but is there anything Karl Urban doesn’t sell?
I prefer the comic because it goes way more into the world, for example each season of TV show could have been the gang trying to defeat a different super hero team (like in the comics), slowly working their way up the ladder, because

In the comics the reason for them not going staight for The Seven was that if you take out hte head someone else will just fill in the spot. Hence if this reasoning holds for the show, when the Boyz finally take down the The Seven nothing is stoping another group to take their place and stop butchers endgame (if they are going with that).
Also I think they really shouldn’t have downplayed Herogasm. In the comic it was their explanation for the “annual events” in comic books, all the heroes pretend there is a giant world ending disaster and they go off-world to stop it, when in fact there is no disaster they just to resort and indulge in all of the hedonism (which in tern causes an actual disaster).
I am not saying people can not like the Boys tv show.
But that The Boys tv show is undeniably Woke. Homelander of the comics was also superior to the tv show. Including what Black Noir eventually turns Homelander into.
There was some funny similarities though. Like the pooper bomb that took out Translucent.
So I am reading the comic… And I gotta say I am having a blast. I still haven’t gotten too how the tv series are so much more woke than the comics… But there definitely is allot more sex and vulgar stuff in the comic xD and Its hilarious

I dropped the boys TV show years ago as it was simply a Woke propaganda outlet.
Like when girl-version-Stormfront was anti immigration to the cheers of the crowd in that episode that was trying to show that people are radicalised online.
The show runner sending a clear message that: Anybody that is not 100% in support of zero borders and rampant immigration into the nation that they live is similar to an actual World War 2 German Ruling Party member.
Then there is the race swapped Stan Edgar. Vaught as a company is powerful enough that they practically run countries. Black-Stan-Edgar is capable enough to keep Homelander in check. Homelander. Who human life is just playthings for him. But he lives in fear of Stormfront??
It sends a message to Black people that: No matter how far you climb in terms of aveivements and development - career - finances - positions of real power and influence. You will still be inferior to real or perceived “r4c1$m”.
Also the constant race swaps. Communicates to non white demographics that there will likely not be original Black characters going forward. Examples such as Luke Cage. As the only thing on offer will be (stolen) hand-me-down race swapped characters.
This happens all the time. Like the god awful Halo Tv Show that race swapped the Keyes family.
There was also the anti-fatherhood messaging that the Boys tv show was pushing as well. Good fathers do exist by the way.
Around the time where the heads exploded during the court case.
3 examples.
Jonah Vogelbaum. The Only “father” that Homelander ever knew. Who Homelander genuinely sought his approval as Sons do of their Fathers. But was only seen as Vogelbaum’s greatest failure. Look how Homelander turned out?
Homelander. The narrative that Mommy is the only chance that his kid has to not turn into a sociopath.
Sam Butcher. Father of Billy Butcher and Lenny Francis Butcher. Wife of their mother Connie Butcher.
Was such a terrible Father that he drove Lenny to self deletion and Billy to the SAS where he learned the skills to become a frighteningly effective individual and the only real threat to the Supes. With or without Compound V. Compound V itself is technically World War 2 German Ruling Party technology and their lasting legacy.
Billy Butcher. As well developed and loveable of a character that he is. Is an incurable $oc1opath. The comics will prove exactly that.
If you understand the source material. You will see that TV shows almost always hijack popular content then turn them into platforms and outlets to preach their own politics - ideology - world views - agendas and propaganda.
Then you understand that they are simply activists not whatever else they pretend to be. So entertainment and producing well written good content and characters are secondary and tertiary objectives.
Can tie all this down to 4 words: 
The Death Of Escapism. 
Running rampant in the Western nations. Through the games industry including WoW and the rest of Western entertainment.
To clarify. The Boys Comics are NOT Woke. Continue reading. You will see the contrast between the tv show. Black Noir is one major example of this as you compare the comics to the tv show.

Basically… the main characters are normal humans. Who wanna take down ‘‘Supes’’ Super hero humans who have gotten super hero powers from a world war 2 made serum called ‘‘Compound V’’ This serum gives humans super powers…
there is permanent Compound V serums. And temporary ones that gives humans super powers for a temporary time.
However… In the boys comic… Supes are so powerful and dangerous even the goverment are afraid of them. And therefore Supes get away with literally anything… they can commit open murder on the streets. And someone will always write them off…
In the comic our main characters are working too hold the supes responsible for their arrogance and murder mayhem. Even the president and the C.I.A are working against them…
And so the story begins.
Invincible is it’s own thing.
Both the Boys and Invincible have the “what if” version of Superman in Homelander and OmniMan.
But Invincible is slightly better. You can read Invincible on the same place as the Boys. The Boys has 72 issues long and Invincible 144 issues.
As for the Invincible tv show it does stray from the comics at times. You have the mandatory race swaps. But current year entertainment has growing numbers of people settling with: It is not THAT Woke.
You have stuff like DeathBattle who made a career on the decades long question/debate/argument: Who Would Win?
Omni Man vs Homelander. Lets you know that Homelander can not actually fight. Is just the strongest around.
The back and forth demonstrates the importance of Escapism. Not to bury your head in the sand from the day to day realities of whatever people are going through. But pleasant distractions to things that people can become passionate about.
Constant reminders of the real world ruins and or prevent immersion and could lead to the death of escapism.
People do not play World of Warcraft or any other entertainment medium to have constant reminders of the real world.
For example.
In the real world ONLY certain tiny demographic of people actually use preferred pronouns but try to coerce / force everyone else into using their pronouns.
There are clear signs of social engineering that through media and entertainment. Trying to normalise what is not normal. Some pronouns are appearing in movies and such.
Like the Atlas Movie starring Jennifer Lopez where Mechs are giving their pronouns.

It is happening to World of Warcraft. After roughly 19 years Males and Females are problematic. So now everyone are just Body types. 1 and 2.

That was handled much better. Hinted or implied but not forced on audiences, allowing audiences to form their own opinion of the character.
Current year Blizzard Entertainment and by extension the World of Craft is making the mistake of having Orientation - Skin Color - Gender as the focus.
Technically Dragonflight is still current content.
Besides attempts to pander to demographics. Why are players informed of the orientation of the profession crafters? Does their orientation add or take away ANYTHING from their ability to do their job?
Imagine if you will going to buy tomatoes from your local store and the cashier INSISTING on telling you of his/her orientation.
The Centaur Civil Ceremony quest in Ohnarian planes. Only shows 1 side of a nuanced discussion. Then forces players out of immersion… Since real world nations some nations legalise civil ceremonies others do not legalise civil ceremonies.
But does the WoW players with active accounts, log on to the WORLD of Warcraft to have current year discussion / debates / arguments of Civil Ceremonies?
I try to explain to the readers. That such actions can turn the intellectual property itself into yet another political battleground.
Most people just want to relax and enjoy the game.
Not even LGBT people will deny this at this point… I defended the queer deers back in shadowlands… I thought everybody just hated on them for just being there…
And all these arguements of forced inclusion was just homophobia and people hating just because there where queer people in the game…

But it is almost always handled extremely poorly.
Tyrande Whisperwind’s Night Warrior storyline for example in Shadowlands. Within Arenweald existed one of the former Night Warriors who is gay. THATS IT. Just a check box as if to say: We at Blizzard Entertainment also has alphabet people.
Without having to look it up. Does ANYBODY even remember the name of that former Night Warrior? Nope just his orientation then…

The famous scene where Gus with Azerothian Diamond balls walked without flinching as a Sniper was taking out a few of his guys. That is some of the things he is remembered for.
The 3 major problems.
- Demographics of people do not like being pandered to.
- Forcing things on demographics of people will be met with resistance. No matter what is being forced. This includes ACTUAL paying customers content consumers and audiences.
- People are not “bad people” just because they resist things forced on them.
When you speak to actual alphabet people. They will tell you themselves that they miss when societies did not focus on them. They have always existed.

But to touch on a larger topic. Blizzard Entertainment does have game in regions of Africa and the Middle East. Nations in these regions the vast majority of them do NOT legalize civil ceremonies.
I state this to explain to the reader. That things considered “Woke Content” is reserved exclusively for Western nations. As it is HIGHLY likely that in the African and Middle Eastern versions of World of Warcraft Dragonflight. There was no Centaur Civil Ceremony quest in Ohnarian Plains and other such content.
Insomniac Games that developed Spiderman 2. Made sure to remove their Woke content from Middle Eastern nations and not release that version of the game to the West.

I didn’t mind them is SL, they needed way more development but overall they were fine. What bothered me was how Pelegos was used as a marketing tool, because you know, and he ended up being one of the most annoying characters (although I will give props to to Blizzard, his identity was not a major focus). I have a whole new level of pity for the people that die in the WC universe, they have to suffer Pelegos.
