Do you prefer playing with/as shaman or priest and why? For raid, m+ and pvp

Hey

I’m currently stuck trying to decide what class to play. I am a healer main for mythics/raids but do dps every so often when my friend wants to heal.

I enjoy both priest and shaman but want to only invest time into one.
I’ve read that Disc priest will always be best for most content because it mitigates damage and can do pretty good damage on top of healing. Also brings PI and MD.

Whereas resto shaman brings a lot of cc, interupt, bl and is just better at controlling packs.

Between the two, which is best for high level content and why? not based on the current meta as I know it changes, but overall from your experience. I know disc is the meta right now, but idk if thats because they are overturned right now or if that is usually the case?

Also, how are the dps specs? so far I only have experience with shadow priest and that has always been painful in m+ when everything just dies so fast.

My duo has a brewmaster monk but is currently maining blooddk

No healer class will always be best. This season its disc, next patch its gonna be some other spec.
Between shaman and priest, it really depends what gameplay you enjoy. Shaman has tons of utility, but generally a bit lower healing output than most classes. Priest is a bit of a passenger class, since you cant really contribute to kicks or cc.

For pugging I would always pick resto shaman, unless you are really enjoying priest.
