what are your thoughts on demo lock right now?
Im planning to do some pvp and pve aswell.
do you recommend it fun wise?

It is not. In PVP it is terrible. Demo demon controlled or losed. Affli prohibited from casting vs melees. Destro not allowed to get chaos bolt out. But in 7-8 months Blizzard boost numbers and it eventually becames meta - asi EVERY single expansion before.
Eh. I’ve had more fun with it. It’s been almost 10 years now, and it still feels strange without Dark Apotheosis.
The summoner vibe could be fun, but I’ve played WoW since vanilla and I’ve played other MMO’s during that time as well - and the whole concept of having to stand still to cast feels awful, no matter the spec. Unlike Affliction and Destruction, Daemonology doesn’t really have a way to instantly tag things either. Implosion needs imps, Demonbolt needs procs, and the Felguard charge is subject to a (short, but significant) cooldown which makes the spec feel both slow and immobile.
Personally, I feel like Affliction and Destruction will feel better to play towards the end of the expansion, due to Haste being plentiful on gear at that point - whereas Daemonology has aspects that I dislike now, and which will most likely remain for the forseable future.
It’s good, it’s fun and you have a load of options in the talent tree for different builds. Not all other specs/classes are as flexible. It’s also one of the most mobile spell casters in the game.
Asking for an opinion on these forums is mostly going to bring doom and gloom answers. A lot of forum users are just miserable most of of the time and only come here to complain. You’re better off directing questions in the warlock Discord server here (https://discord.gg/0onXDymd9Wpc2CEu)
Just try all 3 specs, they all have their place
