Hi there
With the release of Midnight and the addition of Demon Hunters to Void Elves, I was wondering if maybe Spellbreakers would see a potential to become a class on it’s own. As Blizzard stated during the panel they would do something for the Horde players.
As it stands it would mean for Horde:
That could be the Spellbreaker class in game.
For Alliance, as it stands:
Which would balance the Demon Hunter situation a little?
It’s of course my own speculation and opinion on this, but I’d love to see the class introduced.
To the class fantasy I could see them fulfill the following roles:
- Tank
- DPS
- Support (think Evoker augmentation)
Does anything think this class would be a nice addition as it’s a unit from Warcraft III and how would you like to see it being implementend, if you are a supporter of it or why not?
I look forward to hearing all of your feedback
If anything there needs to be another physical ranged DPS that uses bows/guns… every class added has thus far been melee or spells at range.
No. Supports don’t work in wow. Were you asleep the last 2 years?

Classes are usually placed as an expansion feature and as there’s been no announcement for a class I don’t think we’ll get one until The Last Titan.
Blizzard has started during a panel they won’t drop the idea and potentially expand on it.
If you’re adding another class, don’t make it race exclusive
Instead of a new class i want classes to be exciting.
Just look the transition from tbc to wrath. Every class felt good with new things in his spellboook.
Nowadays classes from one expansion to the other feel the same. Nothing new added. Just some talents moved from right to left and from bottom talent tree to top.

I went on a break during Legion Nighthold and came back now at the end of Season 2 of TWW.
I unfortunately can’t relate to it, but I have empathy for those who kept playing the game and feel this way.
I don’t know what midnight brings with the trimming of abilities. But let’s hope with the trimming they either enhance or change certain abilities to be more interesting.
Nothing much.
More prunes like in WoD so blizz think to bring back in next expansion and call that “200IQ new inovation”
So they basically plan to recycle
That would be a sad day. I remember the cata prepatch and having leap of faith added in cata. It felt new and unique.
Either their creative team burned out when it comes to spell design or it it’s either to financial cuts or it’s to simplify it so the rumors of porting the game to console could be a reality… which I hope stays a rumor.

Has been the case since forever
This is what happened in the past expansions.
They remove ability just to come back the next one. Its disgusting thing for me.
I think then maybe something as a bard class might be a better option

Why does the demon hunter situation need balancing?
The class choice ratio has been in the hordes favour since they gave all races, warlocks.
What a ridiculous notion.
let the alliance have a leg up for a little bit before it eventually comes to the nightborne as well.
Hope not.
Nothing about that class appeals to me.
I want to see more specs for existing classes.
I want to see dual wield pistols for hunters.
I want to see tinker.
That’s all I’m interested in.
I like the idea, but I’d love them to give existing classes more roles. The thought of a chronomancer mage healing, or a shaman tanking with earth spells just sounds so good to me. I don’t think it’s too far from reality either, considering we got a third spec for evoker in the middle of an expansion. Although it’s still suffering from balancing issues, I don’t think it should deter Blizzard from experimenting for funs sake.

It was what the devs announced, something would go the horde way regarding classes. So I can’t really tell you anything other than what was said at the panel.
They won’t. That’s why Aug got nerfed to oblivion. That’s why devourer dh is not a support spec either. Stop with the head canon.
