Dodge gem / stat

Hi everyone !

Today, I’ve purchase a gem with dodge stat for a socket ( perfect-subtle-sun-crystal ). The problem is, dodge stat can’t be see no longer in char sheet.
So I try to find clear AND recent (8.3) information on how work dodge in Bfa but it was unsuccessful.

The only recent threads speaking about this subject say agility and critical stat raise your dodge chances, but with no formula or calculation as an example.

So, if a wise druid can enlight my mind on this several questions:

  • if dodge is calculated with only Agi + Crit, why there still usable gem with dodge stat ?

  • Where can I see my dodge stat, or at least, calculate it ? (and I don’t wanna use addon)

  • Which is best gem form dodge: Agi (+120) or Crit (+50) ?

Thanks for reading me

Your dodge stat is increased by critical chance.
You have a passive skill that converts 100% of your critical change into dodge.
" Lightning Reflexes "
Agility also increases your dodge chance.

If you hover over the stats it should tell you this.

My first question is: Why would you buy a gem with dodge when you can just buy 120/80 mainstat or +50 mastery or versa?

And yea, as Artebudz stated, agi is converted into dodge and 100% of crit is allso converted into dodge.

Yes he should just buy versatility gems really as a guardian, dodge isn’t really worth it.
Just go versatility gems with versatility and mastery/critical gear and you’ll be golden.

Thanks for your answers. I play feral, not guardian, but I’ve thinking to grab a little more survivability by a high dodge chance.

So, I understand for guardian the passive who convert crit to dodge, but for feral druid? Is it the same calculation ?

Why do you want survivability though?

To stay longer in PvP combat. Feral is paper and when I’m hit by multiple CC I go from 100% to 20% very quickly. Even with a good survival instinct timing

Versatility is much better for that purpose than dodge rating.

Like Phasedruid said, versatility is the better choice in pvp.
Dodge on a Feral druid is pretty pointless
Feral do not have a dodge passive, like Guardians do.
