Hi, I’m levelling my prot warrior up. Should I choose dodge/parry armor over hsste/versatility? Which stat is more important? I saw the haste/versatility as a priority on icy-veins, but dodge/parry loot looks really tempting (higher item level, strength etc). Sorry I am only learning the tank class now and back after 8 years break. I played ele shaman before. Any advice will be much appreciated!
Always use the highest ilvl items. If you have two same ilvl items to choose from, use the one that has haste followed by mastery and versatility.
You won’t find dodge or parry gear after you lvl 80-85 pretty much.
Agree. You dont really have to worry about stats in the leveling phase, but if you get 2 equal peieces i would go for the one with haste. Survivability isent really a problem so better get shorter dps cooldowns so dungeons go faster
Note also that crit gives you parry.
correct, all stats have some use to prot warriors so overall ilvl is the most important barring a few specific pieces (rings/trinkets) etc.
However Haste and versatility/mastery are the most important stats if 2 pieces have equal ilvl
Thank you all for advice. I also thought I should rather boost up the ilvl, then focus on the right gear when doing higher lvl dungeons.
