the problem is the new characters dont have story to them at all, all of new vharacters are mindless str8lined boring repeating it self bots.
Yep but players asked for this. Players wanted smaller and more covinient world so they can save time and rush to end game to spam+.
Lot of people say DF gameplay is ok but theme and story is bad and boring. I say theme and story is bad becouse gameplay what is vehicle of story is bad.
How exactly you expect any charactery any story moment to be meaningfull when we all zooming trough zones on 800% speed and obliterate everything in our way. Adventurer we need your help there is dangerous general causing genocide. Then you go in and you kill with 2 globals. No wonder people are like yeah hmm w/e. Old WoW story despite having bad story telling is more memorable and fun becouse game wasn filled with covinient gameplay and tons of qol features.
Overall the DF main story or stories is just too “sad”. Like is there any of them that have a notable jolly period? Closest is the bickering between Wrathion and Sabellian, but that was the expense of giving them both the idiot bat.
I was actually looking forward to having that intro companion we had stick around a while and then she blew up.
